I took a TYCO S chassis, put an HP-07 motor in it, chopped the front off and and married it to a front end I pulled from a HOT WHEELS hot rod. I had to custom fit the wiper pick ups. I did so by filling the underside witrh epoxy and then drilling out holes for the wipers.

The body was a clear dash modified that I chopped, made a front cowling for from epoxy putty and then added decals.

The rims are VINCENT rims with silicone tires

thats one heck of a job there, I like the 40s Batmobile too, I did one of those. Johnny lightning diecast are so fun to work with.

Nice work there, VJ-

The grille blends excellently with the T-jet bod’ style and the engine looks perfect scale. The wheels look "right"-

Great stance as well-

I love the flames- did you make those or buy them?

And did you paint the bod’ from the inside?

A beautiful piece all-around!

Cheers..

Thanks Boss... I painted it from the outside so I get a high gloss on it. I bought the decals off ebay and they look great. The pic really doesn't do this car justice. Some of the glare makes it look like there's imperfection in the front cowling.

I have a better one in the works. It;s all done, all I have to do is make a windshield for it. I'll post it this week with a better look at the modfiled TYCO S chassis. I love working with those things

I got the rims from MEV. He doesn't list them on his site, you have to email him. Off the top of my head, I think his name is Mike Vitale. Just go to the MEV website and try to reach him through there. They weren't cheap though

you can get wheels that look close enough from road race replicas for about 4.00. and thats 4 rims with black silicone tires on them.
