Not sure, but my guess would the lack of consumer interest.

... The Man from UNCLE?

Legal issues.

Hard to imagine all 4.5 seasons of La Femme Nikita (which are available) are getting more consumer interest than S3 of Miami Vice!

And Taxi is one of the all-time great sitcoms. Thought they did switch networks, IIRC, which may be holding things up.

I would assume one problem with MIAMI VICE is clearing all the music rights. It used to be that producers would only buy the broadcast rights for the songs used in the show. If they want to release the show on video, they have to either renegotiate the rights or replace the music. This is what is holding up the DVD releases of WKRP and THE WONDER YEARS.

Are they doing that season-by-season, then? Rather than clearing for ther whole series all at once?

I've only got 3 episodes left to watch in season 2! :(

Alias season 5 will be out, probably in September or October.

Here's what I've read around the Net: Not gonna happen, according to Universal. Sales of season 1 didn't meet their expectations.

Same thing that killed future DVD releases of ADAM-12, Dragnet, Barney Miller & several other franchises.

Barney Miller!
Dammit, I loved that show. Season one was a trip. I'm pissed.

Any word on MIssion: Impossible?

It was kinda hilarious hearing Ron Glass speak in 70s jive, though - "Heyyyy, baby!" :)

I don't know if it was rumor or an urban myth, but I remember reading & hearing back in the 70's that Richard Pryor disliked Ron Glass for some reason, and that Pryor based his "white guy" voice on Glass's normal speaking voice as a jibe.

I'm looking for the following as well:

1) It Takes a Thief (Robert Wagner series)
2) 6 million dollar man Season 1
3) Green hornet, we all know the problems with the Batman series
4) PT 109 with Cliff Robertson

Both that and Bionic Woman season 1 are available in England in region 2 DVD format. They've not been released over here due to a conflict between Universal and the holder of the U.S. rights for the Martin Caidin novel "Cyborg" that the shows were based on.
