After 1 year you are eligible to receive a HT car from Bobby.

I joined HT April 15, 2006......so April 15, 2007 I'll be eligible to receive the HT car available at that time. I doubt if the Shelby Daytona will be available at that time, and I really like this car. I'm looking for someone who would part with this car.

whsanimal, looking at your profile, you were eligible 1/5/06 to receive a car from Bobby.

Thanks Scott, but I don't have any WL's that I want to trade.
I buy 90% of my WHITES for my own collection, since I haven't found any in several months. There's just too much competition where I live. Buying is so much easier for me, because when I did find a WHITE, it wasn't a car that I wanted for a KEEPER. I traded it off a a show for something that I wanted.

Look for a thread similar to.....***January Hobby Talk Appreciation Gifts***.....

Under the thread should be rwwcarguy (Bobby, a Moderator) the person who started the thread. Instructions will be given as what you are to do to receive your free car.

Every month there is a thread similar to this (go back and check a thread started by rwwcarguy for July)..........STUTZ

Each month, usually during the first week or so, Bobby will post a thread with him email on the JL board. All you have to do is follow his instructions in the post and sit and wait and then you'll have your cars in a week or two!

They are for all the member of Hobbytalk. There are plenty of people who don't collect JL's that still take advantage of these cars every year if I'm not mistaken. I've seen it talked about on other boards too. They also used to offer slots, but I don't know if they are still available

I don't think it would be greedy if you got a HT car and didn't collect JL cars.

Put the HT car on your desk, near your computer (when you're on HT it will remind you of what a great place this is with great people). :wave:

You could also give the car away to a new HT member next year when you receive yours. This new member won't be eligible for the car that you received. :thumbsup:

But if it's for everyone regardless, my loyalties to HT just took a big jump. You don't see this kind of hobby attitude over at HWC. Too much pressure or something. HWC is like a big ol' cafeteria, HT is a like a nice little diner. Mushy,huh?

And all of this is thanks to Bobby (rwwcarguy)! He has spent an incredible amount of money out of his own pocket to put this program in place and keep it going! He is the one that distributes them and is one of the most generous folks I can think of to do this for all the HobbyTalk members! I don't mean to sound too much like a cheerleader, but I'm just amazed with what Bobby has done and is doing! Thanks again Bobby!!
