this is another pastime i share with my husband the old plymouth looked like this 1 month ago i didnt have my camera with me so bought a disposable camera when we rescued this car from the car crusher l.o.l. the front frame was rusted out where the suspension bolted on .

my husband cut the old frame off and gave it a ford front frame. cut the floor out and dropped the body down lower before putting a new floor in it
the hood had to be made 8 inches longer and 3 inches wider its all one piece
now and tilts forward with electric motors lot of work we were at it night and day for the last month

this old car looks a little better now and is going to its first car show tonight
we put a 1000 miles on it runs like a charm handles great gets 26 miles to the gallon highway driving, built for less than 3000 dollar s my husband wanted to prove to my grandson you could build a better car than buy a old clunker for 3000 as a daily driver we did all the work ourselves and what grandson dont know and will find out tonight its going to be his daily driver we are giving it to him for his birthday .then he might leave our old truck alone its the 454 gm thats chopped and lowered beside the plymouth

it was a pretty easy project the truck took a lot longer because of the body work involved this was only a matter of new floor a bit of work on the fenders and hood
and adding the front frame .my husband is allways working on some old project car it makes a big difference when you have the whole day to work on it. before he retired i can remember one car took all winter to chop ,channel .and section it .because he only had weekends to work on it ,kids went to the car show tonight were bored a half hr later l.o.l. they wanted to cruise around not sit and talk with the old guys l.o.l.
we have about 10 kids in the garage right now checking it out my grandson is quite happy with it hes out talking to his girlfriend they think it needs neon lighting under the car and a better stereo l.o.l im sure it will have a few more changes .
