View Full Version : Lock Down!
yamahog 07-13-2006, 10:43 PM Lessee now, thread gets introduced about former kiddee show host. Many of the usual suspects jump in. Thread goes from kiddee show host to Spencer Tracy to grammer and elocution discussions. Queen comes in, sends everyone to bed early, locks down thread and Hawg gets in trouble. Wow, it's like 1999 all over again! Yes, it's good to have our Queen back!
Steve244 07-13-2006, 10:50 PM I hope there's a bed check!
Zorro 07-13-2006, 10:56 PM They're showing Pee-wee's Playhouse over in the mess hall in about three minutes. I'm sneaking out.
phrankenstign 07-14-2006, 01:02 AM Hands up all who want to be charter members of Peewee's Prayhouse so we can worship Him as he most certainly deserves.
irishtrek 07-14-2006, 01:10 AM Yes, why did the Hawg get in trouble when we were all to blame?
phrankenstign 07-14-2006, 01:13 AM Let us pray for forgiveness....
John P 07-14-2006, 07:46 AM Yes, why did the Hawg get in trouble when we were all to blame?
You kiddin'? just LOOK at him!
El Gato 07-14-2006, 11:57 AM Some people are born popular, others are born to be scapegoats, I guess. Sorry Hawg.
yamahog 07-14-2006, 01:29 PM Yes, why did the Hawg get in trouble when we were all to blame? That's like asking why does the sun come up in the morning? Because that's the way it's supposed to be. Some may say "scapegoat" and perhaps that's true. Regardless, at least we're staying true to the theme of the bulletin board. That's what's important. We must repect and honor our heritage.
Zorro 07-14-2006, 01:51 PM Semper Fidelis and Esse Quam Videri!
irishtrek 07-14-2006, 02:08 PM Now that makes sense. Maybe he should change the the type of person that he is on these boards, it just might help.

Griffworks 07-14-2006, 06:22 PM What...? It's a nonsensical thread - just like several of the nonsensical thread over in The Modeling Forum. If this one gets locked then there are... I dunno... easily a dozen thread at TMF that need to be locked, too. ;)

I'm scared to ask, but what does a Ho do with her Hiney that requires a Mekka?
Zorro 07-14-2006, 10:16 PM I'm scared to ask, but what does a Ho do with her Hiney that requires a Mekka?
That's better left unsaid but be warned, doing it without a Mekka can result in the physically uncomfortable and somewhat embarassing condition known as Mecca Lecca Hi Mecca Heinyitis.

Da Queen 07-15-2006, 08:10 AM Hey, I'm a Pee Wee fan as much as the rest of you. However, I would think the leading knight of the Oval Table would have risen above such tasteless banter and that is why the gentle reminder, my friends. Besides, I had received private messages that the thread in question was now starting to cross the line from the usual locker room level of quips to offensive and not something you would want your child to stumble upon, OK?
"nuff said. I stand by my comments.

Zorro 07-16-2006, 11:59 AM I was just reading a review of the DVD release of "The Pee-Wee Herman Show - Live at the Roxy Theater (1981)". Here's a brief synopsis from Amazon:
"An adult-oriented version of what would eventually become an award-winning children's classic. This version of the show features Pee-wee's playhouse and many of the characters of the later series, but with adult overtones and jokes including "mirror shoes" and others."

Granted, Amazon is not nearly as dependable an authority as is a red-vested PIC, but what can you do?
irishtrek 07-16-2006, 01:57 PM I remind you,Zorro, the name of this thread is "Lock Down" not lets go over that other thread all over again. Just a friendly reminder.

I.T.,
The reason this thread is titled "Lock Down" is because I was the one who titled it. As for the "friendly reminder," you're not a Mod, so you're hardly in a position to tell folks what's appropriate (in your opinion) for this forum.
irishtrek 07-16-2006, 04:53 PM Yamahog, I never claimed to be a Moderator which is why I put "a friendly reminder " in that post.

Thank-you for your fair judgement, Lisa! We definitely need help to stay in line.
yamahog 07-16-2006, 05:30 PM Yamahog, I never claimed to be a ModeratorI.T.,
I never said you did. Doesn't seem to keep you from acting like one, though. Just a "friendly reminder."
irishtrek 07-16-2006, 05:37 PM Yamahog, that has been the only time where I pointed something out like that to somebody here. I hope it won't happen again. And yes I do see your point.
Da Queen 07-16-2006, 05:58 PM Gentlemen...this is our community....note the operative words "OUR" and "COMMUNITY". That being said...everyone who takes pride and ownership around here is a moderator.
Hugs!

John P 07-16-2006, 07:46 PM Just a friendly reminder that friendly reminders will not be tolerated!
