Very nice, VJ!

That extra axle set up looks like it ready for a custom Semi-

And the L-I-S craft is definitely “Pop Culture” ;)

I built the same thing (but used the stock tracks) and showed here as well.
I never thought of using that chassis-

Excellent choice! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you for sharing-

Cheers..

I love the lost in space charot. How did you mount the body to the chassis? I think the lost in space robot would look cool going around the track. But that's just me, I'm in a werd mood .

Cool stuff. Nice chassis work.

The Tyco body that comes with the chassis is connected by 4 small alum posts that slide into small holes in the chassis. I trimed those to size and expoxied them onto the Charriot body. After the glue dried, I could slide the body on and off.

Jimmy,
there is a question indeed: JADA bodies, where what? I really love the "forumbelair"! Where do these bodies come from?

The bodys are die cast from a company called JADA.
Much higher better looking than Hot Wheels or Match box. The rims can also be used on HO cars, the rear plastic slips off the rims and AFX specialty tires slide right on.
They may need some trimming to make them more narrow.. it depends on the body

I got that body at Toys R Us but I think you can also get them from the vendors that sponser this site.

Jimmy,
Nice job didn't know about the AFX specialty tires. I picked up a Dub City lowered 57 Chevy that I was going to convert to a Tjet Chassis. If I remember correctly the Jada chassis is just a bit longer than the Tjet so front axle would have to be independent of the Tjet. Now I've got to find that body and get her done!

Yeah, on most of these conversions you'll have to build an independent front axel holder.

A little expoxy putty and the tube from inside a bic works great as an axel holder.

They also make great posts too. Easy to trim, never split, always hold tight.
