Here's a question for some of you er.. 'older' guys.
I just picked up a copy of Jayne Mansfield's film "Promises,Promises".
It was Jayne at her best and naughtiest.

Anyone here can name more 'naughty' films while the actresses weren't quite so
famous?

You might want to check out "The Wild Wild World of Jayne Mansfield", the most exploitative movie ever commited to celluloid.

I can remember my Dad letting me go along with him to see Secrets back in the seventies, it was an awful European film with Jacquiline Bisset released here after The Deep to cash in it's success, Jackies nude scenes were the focus of the ad campaign.

Pre-code films (that is, movies made before 1935) were surprisingly bold, given their more naive treatment only a few years later. Films such as "Baby Face" and the classic "Employees Entrance" can really raise an eyebrow nowadays. Thank goodness the Breen Office was able to save us from such salacious displays.

That's what I meant by "fame fluctuates". Angie's career was on a bit of a down-swing at the time of Big Bad Mama. I actually own Big Bad Mama on DVD (earlier brain fart on the title) as well as Point Blank. Angie's scene in the former with William Shatner has got to be one of the un-sexiest lovemaking scenes in the history of drive-in cinema. I don't know what was wrong, but Shat looks like he barely knows what he's doing. As to Pretty Maids All In a Row, I snuck into the Cameron Village Theater at the age of 14 to see that R-rated movie after spying Playboy Magazine's related pictorial. Not only did Angie get nekkid, but so did Joanna Cameron (Saturday morning TV's "Isis"), and my favorite early-Seventies California sex kitten hippie chick - the aptly named Joy Bang! Come to think of it, Rock Hudson's lovemaking scenes with all those honeys lacks a certain passion as well. Oddly, Pretty Maids All In a Row has never been available on DVD.

I saw "Kelly's Heroes" in the same cinema. This was before they split it into a twin-plex. However, for my 16th birthday, they wouldn't let me in to see the R-Rated Robert Mitchum pic, "The Amsterdam Kill" because I didn't have an ID. Should've snuck in with Zorro.

Yep, she was having an affair with Stacey Keach, IIRC, and Jamie Lee looked really good.

"Flesh + Blood" - Jennifer Jason Leigh is nekkid most of the time (big surprise), and has sex with Rutger Hauer a lot (big surprise, being a Paul Verhoeven film).

"Straw Dogs" has some very nice Susan George boobage, and a strange rape scene that turns into a love scene that turns back into a rape scene.

"The Blood on Satan's Claw" has some interesting nekkidness.

I used to catch a heavily edited version of Blood on Satan's Claw on Elvira's Movie Macabre every so often. I imagine the theatrical cut has a lot more "good stuff" -- but was anyone famous in it?

Patrick Wymark - well known Brit actor at the time.
Linda Hayden was the chief babe in the film, with a brief nude scene. Quite a looker too!.
Michelle Dotrice, daughter of well-known character actor Roy dotrice, was also in it.

I've seen at least three different edits of that film including the TV cut. I've had two VHSs of it. One of them even leaves out scenes that are in the TV cut. No version has the complete ritual rape of Cathy - it's very plain from the breaks in the music that it's cut to pieces in every version.

I'd sacrifice a body part to own a complete original edit of that on DVD.
