We have taken over the off-road thread with on road, so figure it was time to get off there thread...

So how is Sam's race track doin Barry ... is it picking up popularity

Good, this will be the third weekend and we have made changes each weekend. This weekend we will have lights and will be able run later in the night, when it is cooler. Once the mobile driving stand is done, we will take this show to high traffic areas, but you will know before then as we will post it. We also plan to run at Lee's place, but we need to get the mobile program going...

I can assure you we will race, no matter the turn out, or test and tune. I know it is hot right now so I can not expect a lot, which I can understand... We are going to run novice, stock, 19T and nitro. Provided we have the people to run... More then 1 person and they have a class... I know we would like to get a spec class going and a rent a car program, for people to give racing a try. We have a nice booklet to give new people so they have infomation about RC and racing... Our goal is a simple one, grow on-road. Yes off-road also, but this has good base, just stop out at Bubba's on Sunday and you will see the big group that is playing...

Hey guys, we're thinking about doing an on-road only race day here in T-town one
Saturday this fall. We'll keep ya'll posted. Would like to see some of you come.
Most likely be cash pay outs for first places. We're trying our first big oval race
this weekend, will see how it does. We feel like we could get plenty of on-road
racers for sure.

We've moved in a front porch with steps that'll hold 4 people maybe 5. It still needs
some work.

it's from the guys we go race with in Memphis.

TOMMY, everything has been slow the last two months. We've run dirt oval
mostly, offroad is still under construction, haven't had enough for onroad.
Hope it picks up soon.

I think its a little slow everywhere. It's SOOOO Hot.

You guys really missed out this Saturday... I know it was hot, but by the time we got the track setup and it was a killer setup, lights, we ran well into the night and the temp was great. People ran and ran...

What I can not understand is the nitro group... We have a great track setup for both elec. and nitro... 130 foot straight way, and this will get longer, our goal is to get out to 150 or longer...

Anyway, we had about 6 people, I think this was due to the heat and rain storms...

Yea I had a blast Saturday! Terry and Barry kept helping me with small setup changes and BAM! The last run I made (at 10:00 p.m. Ha!), I was glued to the track like I was on a monorail. (I was running a brushless system - Novak 6.5). This onroad is fun. Might be pretty scary with 9 other cars on the track at the same time. Hope more start showing up. I do not mind the heat any at all. The only thing about it being hot right now is that if you wait for it to cool off, then there will be ice on the ground 2 weeks after the heat waves end!!! Better come and enjoy it while you can or you will be waiting for it to warm up.....

I'll head to the new Mississippi on road thread if the rest of you go. I'll keep checking

Region 6 on road races are this weekend ( 30th) at Small Cars and Nov. 3-5 is the first annnual Bill Chill Race presented by Bass Pro Shops in Pearl.
