The Custom Works / Delaware Paved Oval Championships will be held Oct. 7th. @ The Hobby Stop Raceway in Seaford, De. All rules and classes will be finallized this weeked and posted early next week.

Will this be considered a Snowbirds warm-up race lmao? I guess Scarecrow must have read my post on how I compaired Peter Coles announcing to his and just cant stand it. So he's going to have to just come up and show him how its done. We will all be in for a treat thats for sure as they both are excellent.

Hope you and Steve have priced pontoons for the Salvas sinking House. Not sure the field can take another beating like the 4-wheelers gave it in June!!!! Maybe we should save a better spot for you to park - like on the asphalt drive!!!

u know what Paul...Steve and i are thinking about bringing a tent.....this way...easier to take apart...and take away...how'z the weather (temp wise)on that time of year...we really would like to camp on site...in a tent...let us know

my question is why as an orl participating track would you put your race the same weekend as an orl race?????? so now the orl regulars will have to choose what event to attend as doing both with them so far away and with the cost of gas would be hard.. i was at your track this year for the first time (3.5 to 4hr drive) for the orl and its a great fun track but its decisions like this that shows me why you cant get a weekly turnout.

I Know Its Sucks That this race is on the same weekend But I Do Believe The ORL only Scores 7 of 10 Races so if you do happen to miss a race it would be a drop.

Yes Seaford Does get a low weekly turnout why maybe because most r/c racers would rather buy 10 batteries & 10 sets of tires than to support a race track that only survives because of It's Bigger races because the price of Gas???

Most of the people I Know (Myself include) that travel every weekend 1.5 to 3 hrs to race and bullshit. Do It Because this is a hobby we enjoy Not A Point's Tally.

i here ya matt i would really like to make this race but would like to support marshels and the orl also.. and as a bonas the neot will be at marshels the same weekend for a double bangger.. im just saying planning of dates could have been done to let guys support both tracks and races.. i just feel this will hurt both events

I also wish it was not the same date, but with that said I will be at the Seaford Race. I can race carpet all winter long. Dont get to many chances to run asphalt and this is a great track.

Matt, if we could run .09 nitro some of the Virginia nitro racers might come up. Seaford is only 3 and 1/2 hours from home(that would be close). We have yet to drive less than 6 hours one way for a race this year(6 races already).

I apologize for the scheduling of the date in conflict with the ORL race @ Marshall's. Obviously we are not trying to work against Marhsall's or the ORL but this date was chosen without thinking of the ORL schedule but chosen in the manner of what works best weather wise (early Oct) and hotel price wise (Oct 1st = off-season). Last year's race was a success regardless of the 90+ degree heat and the $100 hotel rooms, we were simply trying to address those issues.

So with the new date, promise of cooler weather, lower costs, and $$$ ($300 to win!) and prizes up for grabs I hope we can move forward with 2006's race a build off the great time from 2005. Look forward to seeing everyone in October!

Thanks for the update on classes and batteries. October should provide comfortable racing weather and super fast track conditions as well. With the go on 4200's ( thumbs up ) all records will go down at this event. I cant wait to see all the talent and the first timers enjoy a great track and event. Bill, the race will start at 12:00 and with scarecrow running the show I'm sure it will move along without delay. I think the June race was over by 7:00 PM as Peter did a great job of keeping the show moving.
