Just as its about to die (or supposed to) push the forward on a hydro or let out on the clutch on a gear driven. That will load the engine and should help the after run. Also, try killing it on the high setting and if that fails let it idle a moment then turn the key off. One of these methods should help. mike salarmi 07-11-2006, 02:18 PM Is there anything mechanical that can be done and what is the cause of it? certifiedtech 07-14-2006, 03:40 AM Something is`nt grounded good enough, ignition switch stop switch wire. cleancutinc 07-20-2006, 10:34 PM Gernerally run on is acondition ussually experienced when engines have been operated in hot ambient temperatures, but some engines are subject to hot spots, wich can be from carbon build up or from being used at high loads for extended times, some engines are more prone do to thier design. it doesn't always mean there is a problem . although some kohlers have been known to exibit this behavior from time of manufacture. it is a result of hot spots in combustion chamber(cylinder) when engine is turned off, before engine stops spinning fuel and air are being ignited from hot surfaces such as hot carbon build up,and hot metals rather than from a arching spark plug. the hottest part of an engine(exuast valve) is generlly the culprit ,when carbon isn't present.. cleancutinc 07-20-2006, 10:55 PM i wouldn't worry kohler engines are known to experience this problem especially the verticle shaft 14 horse power used comercial walk behinds. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
