Some Asian chick appeared in this month's issue wearing lingerie and now the country is in an uproar. Seems they have some anti-indecency laws over there in a country that's 80% Muslim. Of course, I be plenty pissed too if my 8 bucks just bought me a centerfold that was wearing underwear.

If I'm Hugh, I'd be on the lookout for terrorists trying to bomb the Playboy mansion.

No wonder those people are angry all the time.

Repression sucks. In any form.

On a somewhat related note, I understand they banned The Vagina Monologues from being performed in Uganda. Good -- those people have suffered enough!

Repression sucks. In any form.

My lighting mentor grew up in Germany (actually during WWII) and it was interesting that he thought that WE were a very sexually repressed nation.

I do agree with him.

He and his wife talked about their 500 mile rule.....and I'm pretty sure they ment it. Still happily married to this day.

BTW: Side, note semi-funnys story.

I was doing this job where we had a B-17 involved and everyone was standing around admiring the plane....
(as I said he grew up during WWII)
He commented (imagine german accent) "Yes, yes, its a very nice plane. Of course, I've only seen them from the bottom before this."
Makes you stop and think about what some people had to live through.

"Save one for Mainz"... While at Frankfurt airport, the story goes, that a BA aircraft took a wrong turn on the taxi way after clear taxi instructions. The Ground controller got a bit hot under the collar and asked sarcastically "if he had been to Frankfurt before", "yes", was the reply, "but we didn't stop".

As for Indonesia. You guys need to get out more. Some of the hottest, friendliest and social women are there. As per usual, just a few stirring the pot. Also, while they are the largest muslim country in the world, most are like "us" (Esquire magazine recently polled that around 43% of american men do not go to church), non practising normal folk :p

And this also on Indonesia, off topic, but I kept it from "The Onion", as I thought it was that (semi) funny...

Thousands Dead In Indonesia Again
JAKARTA, INDONESIA—Several days of relative calm in Indonesia came to an end Friday when a massive volcanic eruption buried most of Jakarta, killing thousands of Indonesians yet again. "I had a feeling we were due for another mass death," said Manu Palopo of Jakarta. "There hadn't been a disaster since last Wednesday, when that train derailed, killing 513. And it had been nearly a month since we'd had an earthquake, typhoon, or some other natural disaster that killed more than 1,000." A public memorial service for volcano victims turned tragic when an unexpectedly large turnout caused hundreds to be trampled to death.

BTW, what is a "lighting mentor"?

I think Saudi Arabia puts ALL nations to shame in the repression department. Yes. I've seen that country in person myself.

Yeah, America has its hang ups....but visit some Islamic countries ( Indonesia being one...) and you'll soon learn what REAL repression is.

Careful — we don't want this to head in the wrong direction!

"Like these hot babes?" Um, no, they are cartoon green witches stirring a cauldron.Just in case you misunderstood, I meant "like" as a preposition, not as a verb. It was a silly joke.

BTW, I took the liberty of correcting your spelling. Hope you don't mind.
