Hello,

I’m trying to restore an old TRX-10 with 5mm axels. It seems new rims are only sold by buggy brand and model (i.e. drive type (pin or hex) is never listed, axel hole size is very rarely listed, and bearing outer diameter for the fronts is never listed.

Does anyone have any 5mm axel rim advice? Or should I just drill out 5mm axel and 11mm bearing holes? Like those holes will be true.

I found some TRX-1 rims at tower. Does anyone know the specs for the front and rears? Tower and BuyTraxxas only list the 2.15 rim diameter. I found a *.pdf of the TRX-1 manual online. No measurements there either.

Thx,

you could definately drill some rims out. you just need the proper tools. if you want the holes in the rims to be true you either need a drill press (good) or a lathe (best) then drill out the hole to the size and depth you need. also you said that you needed to know the diameter of some bearings. What a perfect excuse to go get yourself fome didital calipers. Hear I got these from harbor freight for $15 http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=47257 . They work realy well for being just 15 bucks. then you may just have to test fit and look around for something that works. but hopefully this will help

HOPE THIS HELPS

Some tamiya rims use the 5mm axels the ones on the blackfoot matched up with my sledgehammer.

If I remember correctly most of the Traxxas buggies used (I believe) 5X11mm bearings in the front end so if that's what your axles are is 5mm you shouldn't have a problem with the TRX-1, Radicator, Radicator 2, etc wheels.
