I found these while going through some of my old childhood cars.

I think I bougth these on a summer trip to relatives in South Dakota in the early 80's, probably 1981. I used to find some pretty cool cars back there. I remember finding two redlines in the package on that trip in a little general store. The guy had them for years in his shop. What a find that was!

Anyway, I remember playing with these. The Chevys and Mercury have plastic bases and opening doors. The T-Bird has a hood that opens and a metal base. That's about all I know about them.

From the "Replica" series of 1:64 die casts in the 70s-80s.

Earlier versions were made in Hong Kong and had metal base plates, opening parts.

Later versions had chromed plastic bases.

There were US and European vehicles represented.

I always liked that Mercury though the color isn't my first choice.
