View Full Version : Found my old Tootsie Toys!
LivnLegend 07-06-2006, 12:01 AM I was going through some old stuff my parents made me pick up from their attic awhile back. I found part of my car collection from my childhood. Included were these Tootsie Toys. I know they aren't worth anything but they are kind of a cool find. I picked them up from various sources when I was very young. My parents bought me some and others came from relatives or hand-me-downs back in the 70's.
I am sure many of you have these yourself, or had them at one time...

Macs_Little_Car 07-06-2006, 09:19 AM Cool, love the Mustang II
scrambler81 07-06-2006, 11:34 AM I see a few cool pieces in there. Is that dark blue one a Gremlin? I really like the Jeep FC. "Not worth anything" - I guess that depends on your point of view. I have seen Tootsies getting $4 or $5 a pop, so that's not bad. More importantly, they were your Tootsies, so that should make them especially valuable to you. I wish my folks had kept some of my toy cars around, but they all got tossed.

Yeah, I meant I know they aren't worth $ to many others but I like them! I played with them a lot before I graduated to Hot Wheels in grade school. I remember that purple Jaguar racer being one of my favorites for awhile. I liked the ones with the tow hitches too.
I seem to remember having a plastic silver motorcycle that rode on that trailer. Anyone here remember that?
GeraldE61 07-06-2006, 03:57 PM Got to love those old Tootsietoys, being a collector of these, I have quite a few, here's a treat for you, fresh out of the package (really) for the first time in open air - The scooter!

I'm going to search for mine. Man, I thought that was just the coolest thing when I was a kid. Gosh, I remember that Jeep too. Now where did mine run off too? It's gotta be in there somewhere!
Thanks for sharing!!

Macs_Little_Car 07-20-2006, 06:18 AM People complain today if there is a little blemish im the paint job on a car... look at the trailer, the sides aren't even hardly painted at all... and yet, we were perfectly happy playing with them.
