Oval racing in the local area is pretty much at a stand still now. Mr. Spinya, Everett Lane, & myself think maybe this would be a good time to see if we can get some racers to show up this weekend for some asphalt action. :tongue:

Starting time at the Bowl is 5 p.m. I believe they will run on road first which should take about 1/2 hour.......

I had a great time racing oval at the bowl last night. The track is a blast to run, especially Saturday night under the lights. We need to build up the turnout and make this a regular show.

The track has been resealed since the last time the ORL was there. It's pretty smooth and seems to have some fine grit in it, so the traction was good and there was very little tire wear with no sugar on the track.

I agree with Greg. Next week is the N.J. race at Trax 70 so I say lets get back to the Bowl the following Saturday.

banked tri-oval,great surface and lite up like a X-mas tree. It was fun to get back on one of the better tracks to race on.The crew at the Bowl seem to want OVAL to come back on a regular basis, so it's up to you all to give them a second chance. It's a blast to race under the lites when the track is lighted the way the Bowl is. :wave:

Mushroom bowl is a fun track. I love the long downhill sweeper turn. Would be great to see the oval program there get kick started again. :thumbsup:

George, Whats with the change of heart towards oval at the bowl ? Or is it just some of you local racers just wanting to fire it up again, Then carrying it to the indoor track for the winter.I like that bullring indoor track. Wish the ORL still made a stop there. :wave:

just trying to get some "uder the lights" out doors Saturday OVAL racin' started. As far as the indoor Bull Ring I don't see that in the future because of the mess that tire compounds make. :tongue:

next Saturday there will be a race at TRAX70 in Browns Mills,N.J., & on the 19th an ORL race in Easton,P.A. That will take out 6 of the 9 racers that were at the Bowl on the 5th. I would try the Bowl if you would like, but the rest of us will be back on 26th. If you've never been @ the Bowl, I think you will like the track and the people there. :wave:

Abdule don;t forget for those who won;t be going to either track that weekend there is the exhibition race in Denton MD. It's part of the Denton summer fest and a great way to get our sport/hobby in front of the public. Me and the TBRC guys hope to make it the 26th for some racing. OH and plans for Daves memorial race are comming together nicely !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup:

Greg, I spoke with Doug, he cant race saturday, but can sunday. I believe he has a b-day party saturday.
