It has to do with the port your using........go in and select something other than com 1 in the program option 6 for Dos, then close the program and reopen, select com 1.......Then make sure that the com port on the computer is not using com 1 or com 1 is disabled.......Then it should work.....

What port you plug into must be the same on the computer and in the software.......Com 1 on both!!!

Com 1 a lot of times is assigned to either the mouse or the modem on some computers. You'll need to get a list of available ports and find one that's not assigned to any hardware. Then configure the Dyno software to use that port. If you have problems with the dyno program working from within a DOS window, reboot and press the F8 key until you get the boot up selection menu, then choose the DOS option. You'll come up to a drive prompt instead of you windows desktop.

you can get the facts 2 software at deccosoftware.com...it works great with windows. then just go to your device manager and select a COM port that isn't being used. match up the COM port selection in the Facts 2 sofware and you should be good to go. if you still have problems with it, contact Dave Clary on the Decco Software website. he should be able to help you with any problems.

It is just a COM issue, play with it until you get it to work!
