Whatever happened to the racers that ran at Rays Place Raceway in the Quakertown area, I had heard that the track was being moved elsewhere. Can someone tell me whats up.

hey gordie,
most of us are running at wernersville, nowhere else to go, we built a track at trains n lanes but we are stalled without $$$$ to pay for electricity and water.............

I have a thought for T&L, why not cover the asphalt track with dirt? Not like it's used for oval anymore anyway and being next to the offroad tack it would make more sense. And build a new asphalt track where the new dirt track is, if interest comes back for touring and oval on asphalt. Afterall seems most of the locals would, even with higher gas prices, travel 2hrs to race paved oval. It's a shame....

we asked to put it there at t&l . we were denied...it seems that they would rather race on it twice a year for the orl series than have a regular show every friday night.

That's foolish, it requires more prep time then people want to put into it anyway....

i do the track prep for both orl races on the paved track... yes its lots of work and i have never had anyone help with it... heck this year with the race on a sat i have to take fri off work so the orl will have a track worth racing on.. i would not want to do it everyweek and with the dirt parking lot and the offroad track the paved oval i feel will never make a comeback with out alot of guys willing to help now that the mill is closeing.. i for one would love to race at trains weekly weather its paved or dirt just to keep some of my travel cost down..

i wish you dirt oval guys the best and when and if you ever get up and running and show that it will last i belive there is a gas sprinter calling my name...
