they have CUSTOM paint jobs and are harder to find in retail stores . most if not all superfast collectors are in search for these . these streakers feature Custom paint jobs and markings and unique styles as well as SOME having chrome 5spk wheels on them . also streakers are not the same as the REGULAR version of that same casting .

There are a few Streakers on eBay - most w/ BIN of $2.99. I don't recall seeing them in stores, but I don't think I'd buy one anyway - I'm trying to keep the collection down. (But I am partial to that city bus in the Superfast series.)

thanks for the info. folks. if i see one i might pick it up, depends on the car.
but i remember i went out and chased those gold matchbox cars. it was worth it, i won one of the 750.... 57 chevy's and sold it for $260.00. but i ended up almost giving those gold cars away. matchbox collectors seem like a pretty tight group. you stick together. i applaud you for that. hot wheels folks are too cut throat. i just collect the little cars for fun. don't do the trading thing. i'll sell something now and then. but that's it.

Steakers are just part of the regular "superfast" line up of $2-$3 cars. They are NOT chase cars and produced in the same numbers of the non Streakers cars. Mattel just included a few for fun. I like them myself.
