Anyone out there know much about these early (late 1940s) models. I think they are 1/16 scale. How many did they make, etc.? Thanks.
O.K. Has anyone ever tried to build one of these? Theye are mostly wood, the earliest ones had metal parts they switched to plastic wheels and parts because the weight caused the models to collapse I suppose. My dad has built a number of them IN the late 40s early fifties. He has repaired a few and has been buying a number of them up on ebay. I told him I would send out the question to the internet modelers. He has not really gone past the solitare aspects of computers (other than blooking for HMs on ebay)
Maybe someone at the plastic modelers association convention will know something about them. Is there a thread on the KC convention? I have offered to help since it is in my neck of the woods.
