We have been working on securing a weekend for some carpet racing and it looks like we have it! The weekend of August 5th and 6th - indoor oval racing and indoor on-road racing at Minnreg in Clearwater, Florida. It doesn't get much better than this:::

- Air Conditioned Racing
- Guaranteed Racing Rain or Shine
- Same CRC Carpet as the Snowbirds (and Vegas)
- Great Food and drink on site
- Tables and Chairs are provided FREE
- No Generators needed - all the power we can use!
- Clean Restrooms
- Nice Awards

More info soon as it becomes 100% final. Road will be on Saturday and Oval Sunday.

Here are some pictures from our last event there:

Get some Florida action!

Awesome time to go to the beaches. The track is about 10 mins from the Gulf Coast. Send the family to Busch Gardens. Go to YBOR City Sat night. Race in the AC with the best oval racers in the South - Awesome!!

This will be the first time at Minreg for some of us. Can someone post setup & tire compound suggestions that will help get us to a valid starting point. Any help is appreciated!

I found a great deal on a hotel. Comfort Inn on Ulmerton shows rates of 49.99. It is only a few miles from the track.

Will chairs and tables be available or do we need to bring our own?

RCThunder

There will be plenty of tables, chairs, and power. Maybe just need a power strip and small cord.

Thanks Dave. It was crazy to have you guys calling Troy as soon as he ran to talk setup and times and all....

We are working on getting the live scoring screen real soon so you can really keep up.

Now I just wished I could keep on this carpet. I really sucked haha. Even my wife was embarassed hehe.

I learned a aweful lot about my car. I was changing things just to see what they do. lol congrats to My TQ Cells teammate Tom Pedano on a well deserved win in 19t. Congrats to Troy Meridith for the open mod win it was fun wish there was more than 4 of us.

I must say that while I enjoyed running open mod I was clearly out motored. 6x1 vs 7x2. it was fun but I would much rather run 19t where HP is only a small factor not the largest factor.

RCThunder
08-07-2006, 04:08 PM
Man I can tell you - I had awesome packs and an awesome motor - and still could only run 17th in qual with no wrecks - so it for me it was 100 percent car this weekend. Gotta love that!
