If you can find one, ProtoForm 2000 taurus. For present bodies banked PF Dodge RT.

Normally I would not make a post to this one because the body is now Owned by Windtunnel, but. Humpty is correct. The Windtunnel #2241 has won just about everything on the banking in the past and present. 05 mod roar nats, Sandhills carpet nats, Arcor nats 06 in mod. In fact the 06 arcor nats at classic every car in the A main had the Windtunel #2241 on it. Those are just a few but since it first came out in the days of Bolink it has been a very dominant, excellent choice for any banked track carpet or paved.

Not to get into a pissing contest cause I agree the Bolink/Murdock bodies have low drag which is great for banked tracks.

In Protoform's defense, I have 3 National championships on the banks (Sandhills and Classic) and always ran the PF Taurus. The only one to ever go 55 laps at Classic in stock was Adrian Chandler, with a PF Dodge MD.
Granted this might be the stock class I am talking about, but that is the class where guys actually have to pay for bodies. People might say, Erock you are a hypocrit cause you get bodies for free. Yes I did, but when I won the Nats, I was not sponsored and I chose to buy PF bodies

You chose PF bodies at sandhills also...And BTW Jody Miller isnt sponsored by any body manufacturer and he chose Windtunnel Tarus and won.....

These kind of questions are always "loaded" and IMHO you will never get much more than what type of body guys want YOU to buy.

I don't know schase427, but what is his driving style? Is he a front runner, or just a guy who enjoys the hobby?

Some of the best driver/chassis tuners have showed me that almost ANY body can be competitive. Mount it correctly, rake it more if you need front downforce, rake it less if you need less...etc.

Run the body you like, can get, and want to support.

The Protoform Monte Carlo is my favorite.

For banked carpet 19T??????? I hope you missed the BANKED part.. It you need a HD monte to run banked oval carpet 19T then you have setup problems.

My vote would be for the 2000 ford taurus>> Scott the White body I run in stock>>Thats a 2K taurus.. However I doubt youlll be able to locate them.. they're hard to come by..

Ive also run the wintunnel taurus. I ran it at sandhills. I prefer that body over running the proto intrepid RT.. the windtunnel taurus was a vast improvement over the intrepid at sandhills..

That being said with availability concerns Id go with Windtunnel taurus... That track is going to need LITTLE TO NO DOWNFORCE. because of the sweeping radius and steep banking..

He's a frontrunner, it won't matter what he puts on it, he'll make it work.
