Woods On Fire At Nys Fairgrounds

mike woods was the man to beat all night. mike ran 28 laps in both of his heat races. the only one that looked like he had a shot was bob egan. he had a couple bad breaks early in the a main and after that it was checkout time for woods. keith lesh was able to hold of jack howland for second. rest of the top 5 were clint bogart and bob egan.
bob cummings was able to win the b main and took dan gotham with him to the a. we had 15 trucks all together,a new record for 1 class. first timers this year were jeff winzens,keith devendorf,and tom hilts. both keith and tom ran into troubles in the heat races and never got back to the speed they showed in the heat races. also good having dan,corey,and hoagie come down from up north. dan and corey had the nitro's practicing and should be ready to race next week. also hoagie wants to bring his 18 t with a late model body down. we'd set up a smaller track. it would be a stock motor class,no brushless. any one intrested.
next week we are going to call it "pasta in the pits party" . we are going to have pizza,pasta salad,tossed salad,watermelon,soda,and more. it will be $12 to race,$16 if you race and eat,or $6 if you just want to eat. we are going to have the pizza around 6:00. also there will be an anouncement later this week on something special. can't wait to see you guys next week. hopefully we can get the edm's and nitro's back running. tom hilts had his tc3 with a late modfel out hot lapping and that looks like it could be a fun class.til next week.
