There are now 2 tracks running monthly points race series for 1/8th & 1/10th scale nitro and electric racers. Tracks each have full NHRA type electronic timing systems with staging, RT, 6', 66', MPH and ET on a scale 1/4 mile track of 132'. Printed timing slip for each pass, with reaction time, 6', 66' et, MPH and ET and Margin of Victory (MOV) in inches. We run nitro and electric, TF, Funny car, super gas, pro-gas, heads up, Bracket and Dialin on Pro or Semi-Pro tree. Bring your onroad rocket, trucks, Megatech, 4 wheel drive sport compact, etc. Foam tires are the best. Tracks are prepared with VHT.

Want to run a 30" dragster in 132' in less than 2 seconds at 90 mph, what about a short wheelbase Funny Car at 1.8 seconds !!! You can be owner, crew chief & driver. Cars, parts, tuning help and FUN all available. Spectators and fans welcome, no charge. Walk thru the pits and check out cars and ask questions.. Good family fun and competition.

Race Update

We had a small turnout of dedicated racers on Sunday. We hadn't raced since May so it was not surprizing. It was a great day weather wise and the track surface produced some good numbers. Dan made the best passes I have ever seen with his cars. Warren is continuing to upgrade batteries and motorswith good result. We got to experiment some at a relaxed pace. We had several interested visitors who have signed up. We had a few of the original NCDA/BADRC racers make an appearance, like Kenny Hall and Sylvestor Grisby.

After the race/T&T we all went over to the new www.NorCalhobbies.com store and track (about a mile away) to look at the potential site of our new drag strip. It was nice to see a LHS with GMS cars, bodies and RTR cars in the display cases. Word is they are moving both nitro and electric GMS cars at a good clip and there is allot of buzz about the drag strip coming.

Maybe we can get in another day of racing/T&T before the next scheduled race Sept. 17th if racers are interested, let myself or Dan know.

We've been invited to setup a display/demo at the last Hot Rod street show here in Rodeo on Friday, August 25th starting about 4 pm.

Thanks to Frank for leaving AC power out for us and chekin to say Hi. It sure is nice not running generators.

Dan will be posting some media of yesterdays event.

If you are interested in RC drag racing fell free to contact me at: afuel1@sbcglobal.net We are here ot help get you started in running the quickest and fastest RC vehicles...
