It's finally done!!! The off road track is ready. We have been working quite some time to get this thing done. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It was a pain in the butt. I'd like to thank everyone who helped - George, Jimmy Hawkins, and Roger Morgan. Without these guys, I would have never gotten it done. I personally think the track is cool. It has an extremely fast section - one medium section - and one tight technical section. The track should be suited for all types of offroad vehicles. We are having open practice on Sunday 6/18 starting at 2:00pm cst. There will be no charge to practice!!! Our first scheduled race will be the following Sunday 6/25. Entry fee will be $10.00 per class and we will have AMB scoring. We built this track for the racers, so it will be up to you guys to let me know what classes you want to run. We are going to have the traditional classes - 1/8th scale buggy, 1/10th scale 4wd buggy, 1/10th scale truck, 19 turn, mod, stock, beginners stock, 1/10th scale nitro truck, and truggies. We will have to work the classes out depending on turn out. But the most important thing is that we're going to have fun. We have plenty of electricity. You will need to bring a pit table and a pop-up canopy and remember, it's on top of Monteagle Mountain - it's not as hot up here. :lol:

Directions are: From Chattanooga,TN, take I24 Exit 135 (Monteagle/Tracy City). Turn right off the exit - drive approx. 1 mile . Turn right onto Hwy 41 toward Tracy City. Go about 10 miles - turn right between Sanders Auto & Lube and Sequatchie Valley Electric (this will be before you get into Tracy City). Drive approx. 1/4 mile to Tracy City Elementary. Turn into the parking lot at the far end of the school. The parking lot dead ends into the ball field. The track is inside the ball field.

If coming from Nashville,TN, take Exit 134. Turn right off the exit and drive approx. 1 1/2 miles to Hwy 41 Turn left on Hwy 41 toward Tracy City. Follow above directions. VERY IMPORTANT: Do not take the first Hwy 41N. This will take you toward Nashville.

All I can say is WOW!!! 18 cars for a practice day. I really hope everyone had a great time and will be back Sunday for our first race. The track held together good. I'm gonna do some minor work on the bases of the jumps and drive the spikes that hold the pipe together a little further in the ground. We're going to get a splitter so we can water it twice as fast and we will keep it in great shape throughout the race. And again, thanks to everyone who came out. It really meant a lot to me. Hope to see everyone next Sunday 6/25/06. The track opens at 1:00pm - races start at 3pm CST.
