RCThunder 06-14-2006, 12:16 AM Check out the fastest laps from the 10 car main last weekend at the Focar Florida state oval race. To have 10 cars all turn 3.3s is totally awesome!!!

amusicwiz 06-14-2006, 04:08 PM That is incredibly close competition. The motors appear to be consistant and totally "tech-able" ! That is a wonderful thing too!
Raced against four of the "A" main guys in the qualifiers and learned first hand why they belong in the "A". Super drivers every one!

katf1sh 06-19-2006, 10:10 PM IN CASE YOU DON'T THINK ALL OF FLORIDA IS CRAZY HAVE YOUR LOCAL HOBBY SHOP CONTACT TRINITY FOR SOME OEM ULTRA BIRD MOTORS. THEY SHOULD NOT COST OVER 25.00 A POP! we have used these motors for at least 3 years now and i think 99% of the racers love them! and i'm talking guys who have been racing since dirt was discovered! think about it for a second...if everyone used the same damn motor what excuse do you have for not winning?
David Butts 06-24-2006, 10:11 AM Long lasting too. I ran three of my personal best runs lastnight at HW with the two UltraBirds from this years Da'birds. I cant tell ya how many runs are on them things. Well probably not as many as on the two stocks I have from the 04 Birds and they are still running strong too.
PUF19 06-24-2006, 11:43 AM Is anyone having the problem with them getting way too hot?
Mike V can weld with his after a 4 min heat!
davepull 06-24-2006, 11:55 AM let me guess 24 deg timing right?
katf1sh 06-24-2006, 07:38 PM crazy motor freezer..get them while there cold.. he he
RCThunder 06-24-2006, 08:12 PM They do get hot as hell down here in Florida that is for sure. But a 2 tenth drop aint that bad.
katf1sh 06-25-2006, 10:54 PM coming through tech i check the temp of alot of bird motors for shizznits and giggles.
90% of the fast guys motors come off the track at 126 and that is on a hot florida day.
i think mikes black body attracts all the heat?
4sureracing 06-26-2006, 12:43 AM hey katf1sh, can i send you my motor and have you recut the comm and put new brushes in it.
katf1sh 06-26-2006, 05:59 PM yes you can

Mike's still gettin hot??? Has he changed motors from last time???
I looked at the Madness website and he turned the same laptimes as last time, so it must be the motor itself.
What did he rollout at???

JAGIIIZ 07-06-2006, 12:51 PM What are you guys setting the timing at on the ultra birds? What brushes and spring combo are you using? Where are you getting them for $25? I haven't seen them any place for that price.
Thanks!
katf1sh 07-06-2006, 04:30 PM magnum hobbies in daytona has them for 25.00 shipped and mike boylan has a bunch of them as well. you can have your local hobby shop carry them.
putnam x brushes or 4383's or the trinity xxx brush work well with them. most of the florida boys run 36 deg of timing with them.
