New to discussion forum.
Just replaced points and condensor in 5 HP B&S engine. The model no. 130202 type 135. Replaced spark plug and drained and added new gas to gas tank. The engine has hit a couple of licks but seems to have extremely weak spark. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you gap the points at .20?

You'd be better off with a conversion kit for em really......

Scrape end of wire going through the condensor.set the points at 0.20,close them and run a dolor bill through them to make sure they are clean and spread some form-a-gasket around the points cover to keep mousture out.Clean any rust and debres from coil and flywheel.set the coil gap at .010.Scrape ends of ground wire, make sure ground wire isn't shorting out against the engine anywhere.Set spark plug at 0.30,should have pretty blue spark.
