View Full Version : MA dropping Action? 40Intrepid 06-10-2006, 10:32 PM There is a rumor going around another deicast website that Motorsports Authentics will drop all Action diecast in favor of Team Caliber for '07. Anybody hear anything? Swifty 06-10-2006, 10:58 PM That seems weird, because last I heard NASCAR now owns both Action and Team Caliber. 40Intrepid 06-11-2006, 08:50 AM Thats right, Action and Team Calber are BOTH under the Motorsorts Authentics name. Now NASCAR has control of both. :( DaleFan 06-11-2006, 12:19 PM If anything is dropped it will be Team Caliber and some of the non-selling items made by Action (Banks; 1/18... ) Many of the Team Caliber exclusives are being made in Action castings. Any new teams exclusive to Team Caliber castings were already in the works prior to the buy-outs. Team Caliber Pit Stop 1/64 line will be kept. Diecast4life 06-21-2006, 10:09 PM if anything I have been seeing more Team Caliber items showing yp in the Winners Circle pkging at Targets.......so it looks like Team Caliber may be phased out in 1/64th and thier 1/24 will kept in Hobby 40Intrepid 06-24-2006, 08:59 AM if anything I have been seeing more Team Caliber items showing yp in the Winners Circle pkging at Targets.......so it looks like Team Caliber may be phased out in 1/64th and thier 1/24 will kept in Hobby What TC items specifically? I collect the 1/64 hood Dodges, are they useing TC castings for these and other 1/64? What about the WC 1/24? Diecast4life 06-25-2006, 10:14 AM this is a tough call..........since the last time i saw them on pegs in Target the #6, 17, 16, 48 and another which i cannot remember made an appearence. On the bottom of the pkg it had the MA symbol. Now these cars were done exclusively by TC. Now they are Action models just repainted w/respective logos...1/24's do not sell at all in my area. Those were thoughts above, but maybe what they may do is keep Action strictly retail and TC strictly hobby and rebrand them like they currently are as Motorsports Authentics. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
