LETS BRING THE FUN BACK INTO RC RACING

We own 3 and have a ton of fun compared to running a high-end pan car.

couldn't have said it any better. With out a doubt, a fun class. This class is bringing people back into racing from years past. Lots of fun.

I bought, built it in a hour and ran it for the first time a couple of weeks ago at K/N and loved the class. I can't wait for the weekend to try it out on the blacktop at Madness. Then it will be back to K/N for the last 4 races of the summer series.

I can't believe the positive feedback and the huge smiles when you hand one of these to an experienced pan car driver and they can't believe how much FUN the've been missing in this sport.

Sometimes you have to back up and realize why we all do this and this car definitely reminds us.

We have 15-20 of these scheduled to run this fall and we can't wait !

The high end of RC racing just emptys your wallet and causes more frustration, then the racer gets discouraged and quits.

Very nice! I'd love to get one & run it against some of our guys running the higher-end cars. The look at their faces when I show them what they were running against afterwards would be priceless! LOL

Burbs this car is a blast. Why does everyone one assume Spec = Cheap? I have one of these cars and if I was a person starting in racing thses are the best ones. it allows you to learn about pan car setups without having a $300.00 car first. and if after a while you decide you want to run pan car you can buy any oval convesion kit and reuse all the good things on this car.

We got them on the shelf and I plan on running mine on both oval and on-road
that's two cars in one :hat:

Thanks Hock ,

Everyone seems to be a critic ,, there's really NO advantage to buying the graphite car but some racers have the mindset thats what they have to have.

These have been made for years and probably if it was done over again the car would be made from just one material.

Why your hearing more and more about spec racing is because of economic times , look how much money we put in the gas tank. :(

The sport needs to back up and look at whats going to keep it strong.

Boil the nylon front end arms and use asc #20 springs in the front end.
Put aprox. 2 oz. on the left side of the chassis.
A hard blue / orange front tire works good.
Green rears work well and last a long time.
A little ackerman helps also.
Lube that center silicone hose so there's no sticktion on the shaft.
Put a locking collar on the bottom of the center dampening rod as
it could pull up out of the front mount in a roll over.
Very little wedge " t-plate screws" is needed in this car.

Hope this helps

The s/k class is a blast! Recently we have been racing the RKR cars with the beefy cars in the neot and they are very close to one another. This class is by far the closest and most fun...

I second that. its going to take minor adjustments to get those past the solid cars its been done before. def fun, nothing wrong with some variety and competition in this hobby. Jimmy I hope you had a good time in the poconos.

Lets hear some feedback on what racers have found that helps these cars.

Small tips , not like change to dynamic front end or put on center shock.

What are some of the rules run in this class? Batts, Motors, upgrades?

NCFRC
06-20-2006, 10:35 PM
Box stock , spec battery, trinity spec 21 turn motor , spec tires , set gear rule .

But you'll find a huge variance from track to track.

We even random draw the motor we race from a box of 24 every week.

Lube the silicone dampener tube with Beefy diff lube for more rear bite.

Also pack the rt rear hub brg with this also , gently pry out the seal and fill the brg with lube, slows up diff action and brg last longer.

Ken, that was the best looking beefy car I have ever seen on flat track. Was it the new "pro version"?

omnis85
07-24-2006, 04:12 PM
pro or no pro doesnt matter. The fact is you can win with any car, solid or tplate and proved that over the past two weeks. all depends on how bad you want it and how much effort you put into it. I tell you one thing that beefy car turns realy good, it was a smooth driving car. both cars, solid or tplate have advantages and disadvantages. everything has to fall in place, an ill handling car can make the best pack and motor look like crap on the track. jimmy thanks for the chance to drive your car. I am glad I could pull it off. so far I have two wins with this car and only raced it twice, that says alot.

Just curious if that one was a pro version? You are right about it not mattering... look at bud, he's fast with the stock kit.
