HAMMERTIME" HAMMOND NAILS DOWN THE WIN AT NYS FAIRGROUNDS

rich "hammertime" hammond broke keith lesh's choke hold on victory lane at the nys fairgrounds on tuesday june 6. rich looked like a shoe for the feature win after qualifying. but it was a new ballgame come feature time. hammond jumped out to and early lead with lesh and woods in tow behing them. woods and hammond swapped the lead back and forth for a couple laps before woods started to pull away a little. lesh bobbled just past 1/2 way and lost any chance of remaining undefeated. mean while hammond started closing back in on woods. woods had a bad corner and hammond checked out after that. it was a good battle allnight long. good to have bob egan and bob cummings back. dan brigandi had a rough night and had to go to a backup truck for the feature. ryan did a good job for not getting any practice in the heat and had to leave to finish his report for school. good to see clint out. supposedly ron,clint,and jack are going to be back next week. also mike bozzuto was there hot lapping his nitro monster truck and will be ready for keith and ron next week. hopefully we can get some big block edm electric and nitro. also i'll have my 1/8 scale buggy there next week. would love to see some tc3/4 sytle cars or pan cars. its going to get better. also next week is the first week of points for the summer season at the nys fairgrounds. we also are having a cookout. check events and races for details. til next week hope to see some new faces and remember think before you type.
