Here is a look at one I finished over the weekend.
It is modeled after the Eddie Kuzma Roadster driven in 1956 by Bob Sweikert which finished 6th that year. I cast one of my Curtis LEs and used decals from Patto's. One bad thing about a standard TJET Indy is due to its width you have to make the nose number larger than the sise numbers or it does not look right. To do this you have to buy two sets of decals. I got these from Patto's at 1/43 and 95% and 85% of 1/43rd. I use the 1/43rd number for the nose and sometimes the hood decals, the 95% for the rear end and the 85% for the contingincy and sometimes drver decals which I used on the external oil tank.
Patto makes a nice sheet that will do 14 cars

However to make them look right you will need one 1/43rd sheet and either a 1/32 sheet for the nose numbers.
