I just got a 4.5/GTB system and have it in a TC4. I've been looking all over their site but can't find any suggestions for final drive ratios for this motor in a touring car. Does anyone have any suggestions based on experience, or know if Novak has any official recommendations for this motor and ESC combo?

I'm using foams on outdoor asphalt, the stock spur from the TC4 kit (which is 72 tooth I think) and a 19 tooth pinion at the moment (just a guess). The motor and ESC barely get warm as it is so I'm guessing I'm underutilizing them with this setup but I don't want to go too crazy!

With a 5.5 turn on rubber tires (2.5"), I ran 21-72 on a track with a pretty long straightaway. A 19-20t pinion sounds about right for a 4.5 turn, but it depends on your tire size. For foam tires, you'll need to adjust the gearing for tire size as they wear down.
