stangcollector 05-31-2006, 04:43 PM Wasn't there suppose to be a 2007 shelby mustang, or was that something else?

That is in MCG2. This is MCG Series 1 Stock & Custom.
stangcollector 05-31-2006, 08:07 PM Just got 'em confused. Thanks Matt!
Atencio 05-31-2006, 09:35 PM I like that blue Impala. Mustangs look like they are sitting a little high to me. Maybe just the way the photo was done.
midtown 05-31-2006, 10:44 PM The blue Impala is amazing.
There are a few errors on these cars, but I'm sure they are just prototypes and will be changed for production.

What are the errors??
midtown 06-01-2006, 11:36 AM Curious about the camaro, is the chrome trim correct in the middle of the grill? Doesn't look right?

Was discussing these with Scott Moen. Here are the errors:
Mach 1 missing side vent. Rear wing waaaay too high.

Macs_Little_Car 06-01-2006, 12:31 PM Did all Mach I's have the rear spoiler? I saw that while almost every Boss 302 you see now has a spoiler and louvers, less than 50% of the cars actually had them
Wyatt 06-01-2006, 12:34 PM That '69 Mustang does not say Mach 1 anywhere on it, if I remember correctly. It's just a Mustang with a stripe on the side.
midtown 06-01-2006, 12:40 PM Scratch the front spoiler, looks like you could have it either way.

Uh..oh....looks like they used the '69 Boss 302 Casting without the side scoop for the Mach 1. It seems to me the Boss 429 casting would have been a better choice. I hope they fix this. In addition, I would prefer the front skirt on the Mach 1. Not all Boss 9's had the rear slats. That chrome piece on the Camaro hood needs to go. Good looking out guys.
BTW....those custom wheels are way too big. Another small nigle I have is the front wheels on all of their castings are too wide, but I can live with that. Otherwise....I still like what these guys are doing....alot! I'm hoping they fix the mach 1 error because I really want a nice mach 1 in my collection. If its not corrected, I would have to pass because that is a bit too much of a glaring error for me.

Wyatt, these are supposed to be a Stock and Custom series. As far as I know, only Mach 1's came factory with that stripe.

I beleive you are correct on the stripe, but it should say "Mach 1" within the stripe. There should also be a strip across the tail and around the taillights of the car that also has "Mach 1" in the middle of it.

Matt,
I held that very car in my hand and think I remember it not saying Mach 1 on it anywhere. Perhaps you could get the stripe without the Mach 1 option? I don't know. It may also be a sample that will be changed to have the "Mach 1" and scoops added, I don't know.

Probably just a error/oversight, or maybe they couldn't get Mach 1 licensing? Hopefully Matt @ GL can fill us in.
Dead Dude 06-01-2006, 03:29 PM Well, as I know someone who has an original white boss 9, i couldn't be more excited about this.
JP2-NC-JL-CRAZY 06-01-2006, 04:40 PM I like the stocks. Don't care for the customs though. With those BIG RIMS, they look to much like a DIP (Donk in Progress).
Just my .02

Puppycat 06-01-2006, 08:47 PM The wheels all looked photoshopped on those. I have all the GL mustangs and not one has that stance. I have to believe that this will not be an issue on the final product.
montegogt 06-01-2006, 09:17 PM All 69 Mach's came from the factory with that side stripe, which says "Mach 1" in it. ( I Know because I have owned 2 in my life). I also hope they put the correct rear quarters on the Mach's and not those Boss 302 fenders. I am pretty sure that the Boss 9 stangs had the front airdam, they came in the trunk and were installed at the dealer so they would'nt get knocked off loading and unloading from the trucks. Those should be some cool additions to the collection.
Dead Dude 06-01-2006, 09:32 PM Boss 9 missing front spoiler (rear slats?)
I have photos of one without the rear slats.
Wyatt 06-01-2006, 10:10 PM http://www.glcollector.com/partycars.jpg
That's 2 front end variations for the Camaro, RS and non-RS, 3 hoods for the '69 Fastback Mustang, convertible and hardtop versions of the '70 with at least 2 different hoods, two Impalas, interested to see if they are the same casting done with different front-ends and rear ends for the different years! Greenlight has really done their homework on these castings!! I can't wait to get a set!
Atencio 06-02-2006, 12:58 AM I have photos of one without the rear slats.
Slats and rear spoilers were options. Having had a Mustang with the rear slats I grew to hate them, takes away from beautiful lines of the car and really obstructs your rear view. As far as I know the front spoiler was installed on all Boss's. It was not a factory option for regular Mach I's in 69 or 70. Not sure about 71. Though like the rear wing and the slats I bet many dealers installed them on the cars.

Yes, the car I am referring to does indeed have the front spoiler.
theArchitect 06-02-2006, 03:33 AM gotta have those imps! :D

looks that way to me to
jimhowie2000 06-04-2006, 10:55 AM The blue 67 Impala looks great to me. I do like the stock versions of all the cars though I am disappointed they went back to the split bumper on the Camaros.....GL was the only one to do a full face bumper version, which I always liked better than the split bumper front end. Besides, Jl, RC2 and everyone else has already done the split bumper front end. Hopefully, in a release down the road, they will bring back the full bumper version in some nice colors....
BigJohn's chevy 06-04-2006, 07:54 PM count me in On the Stock and Customs.I need that 67 Impala SS 427
pontiaccrest 06-05-2006, 06:38 AM Both Impala's and both GTO's for me.
