Are these a separate release from the Pinto/Maverick/Mustang II? Both my local Wallys now have plenty of the Fords on the pegs (as of a couple days ago, anyway) but I have not seen the AMCs. Do they ship in the same box/set as the earlier ones or are they a separate box? I know many of you guys are here from the JL board, and we know that with JL/RC2, you always know exactly how many of each car will ship in a case of a given release (well, except for WLs)... how does that work with FCs? Anyone know?

related question: does it seem like the 1/16 radio control FCs are showing up with the Gremlins/Pacers? has anyone seen them in a store together, or noticed a store that had one but not the other?

I can only say these were the only FCs on the pegs at that particular store.

As for the case and model counts inside the cases, I am sorry I can't really say for sure. I do believe there were three sets of six on the pegs when I found them. I just inspected the cars for any obvious paint flaws and went from there.

Actually, that's what I was looking for. It's a pretty good bet that if the Gremmys/Pacers were the only ones on the pegs, then they didn't come in a case with the Fords... so if I see the pegs full of Fords only, it's not that the AMCs are the only ones selling out, they just haven't gotten there yet...

Of the 2 WMs in the area, the Supercenter only has the original FCs and the 1:24s and the regular WM has the 1:16th RCs and the original FCs. No AMCs at either. Hope that helps.

I'm sure many people will agree that the 1/24 and 1/64 cars aren't tied in together either. Most stores that had any FC's either had one or the other, very few actually had both!

A collector friend saw open pegs in a large Phila Suburban W-M about a month ago. He approached the Mgr and asked when they would arrive. He was told that the order had been canceled- but they could order a case for him if he wanted. We initially planned too split a case.W-M came thru with their promise! There were 12 blisters in each case or 4 sets of each of the 3 Fords. Lucky for us W-M then decided to order a second case at the same time - so we ended up with a case and a half to distribute to other collectors in need worldwide!
I got frustrated trying to locate the new AMC models so asked a dealer friend to order a batch of the Fords and AMCS for me. They are available as posted here on a companion thread from www.kiddiekar.com Additional info is also posted there! I don't know how many total sets were ordered, but I expect them to go fast! Kiddie Kar Kollectibles will be at the York PA Show on Sunday!

Opened a case tonight and the AMC's and Fords were factory packed together.
2 green Mustangs,2 yellow pintos,4 Pacers(2 red/2 orange) and 4 Gremlins(2red/2 green)so the AMC's and Fords are shipped boxed together.
No RC cars yet and the only larger scale to show up my way are the Pinto's.

On a side note the Pacers looked bad. Paint on the windows,dirt in the paint,casting flash that was not filed off but rather just painted over.

Hmmmmm... the plot thickens...

Today I was at a walmart and found a selection of pacers (red and yellow versions),gremlins (green and red),pintos (yellow) and mustangs (brown). Not sure if they all came in the same case,but thats all that was on the pegs.
