could you look also if you can get the dog bone end for the wheel to diff cvd end because they will interchange. I think,

Ok now that I've looked at it I'm guessing you need the "bone" rather than the end that hooks onto the tranny (yoke), correct? If not then no I don't see where they offer just the yoke end. :( The last post I'm not real sure of what you mean? :confused:

what I need is the yoke end well did I think, see my dad said that if we used his micrometer that we could drill the yoke out to fit the tranny connecton. Were going to try that tomarrow. hope it works!

we'll it worked there's a little slop in the yoke but it works.

Ok, so I'm assuming the T-Maxx output shaft coming out of the tranny on the front end is smaller, correct? So you had to drill the yoke out for it to fit the E-Maxx output shaft?

I found another problem and I'll tell ya sunday this one isn't fix able:(

A mostly cloudy day of racing today but that just served to help keep the moisture in the track better. Eighteen drivers showed up to do battle on the track and at the end of the day we had four new track records.Most of them went down in the mains where the track conditions were about as good as they're going to get. To bad we can't have cloudy conditions with no rain every week!

Steve, i'm probably not going tuesday. My son has basketball camp and this rain today is probably not good for the track. i'l be there saturday weather permiting though.

Oh yes, I don't think there will be any practicing tomorrow. :( The track is a real mess right now. There are several rather large puddles and the mud is a lil deep. Gonna take some raking this week to get things back in shape. :mad:

can someone tell me if there is an advantage to alluminum clutch shoes and regular ones?

The track has had the puddles removed earlier today and we've only had sprinkles since so if everything continues as it is, the track shouldn't be bad. Things are probably going to start out a little "tacky" but it's been proven in the past that the track comes in nicely after being run on some when it's pretty wet. :thumbsup:

Mike........The only advantage I could see is probably longer clutch shoe life. The downside to that longer life would probably be shorter clutchbell life. :) So when you gonna come run that nitro truck?

Rick is right Mike, the only performance enhancement as far as the clutch shoes go,(from what i've heard and read anyway) is the number of shoes. 2,3,&4, more suface area hitting the bell, quicker acceleration. aluminium just lasts longer.

Twas a tacky start to the day as expected but the track came in ever so nicely. Nice enough even that we now have four new track records. Before the mains started we even had to water a couple corners due to dry spots! A small crowd this week with a few regulars on the MIA list but those present had a good time.

Our final week of racing will be September 5th. Just an FYI however that we won't be racing here on the 22nd because we'll have been at the McKean Co. Fair the day before.

Yet another low crowd of 14 this week. Where did everybody go?? The worst part is having marshals for every race. THANK YOU greatly to everyone that volunteers so much to marshal. Only two points races remain now before the trophy day September 5th. Just a reminder that we won't be racing here on August 22nd but everybody should come out and get a little sideways on the dirt oval during the McKean County Fair on August 21st.

does anyone know about the novak dually's throttle profile selctions? It says in the book that each of the two settings have different drive frequency's, KHZ's ones 7.8 and the others 1.0, now would the drive frequency cause glitches? cause I'm stumped:confused:

nope...not drive freq. unless something is wrong with the dually. does it only give you trouble in one mode and not the other? 7.8Khz sounds like the stock mode...1.0Khz doesn't sound right to me....that would be like driving with an on/off switch. You sure it isn't 11.7Khz? Higher Khz means a wider range of throttle (more sensitive) so you can keep the rear end behind you. :D

If you're absolutely sure your glitch problem comes from the dually, I'd send it in to Novak for service. They're really good about service, you may even end up with a new ESC for a few bucks.

it glitches on both settings and I have esc's recevier wire in fuel tubing and electrical tape and the positve motor wire that's on the chassie is also has electrical tape around it and the negitve wire is straight up to the motor without touching anything but the motor. I had rick cut the com last week this week I did the eraser trick on the com and put new brushes in and seated them and it still glitched the only thing I think I can do is shrink wrap the batts and batt wires!!

it glitch with my sprint to just not as much as the dually, It just sputtered every now and then but with the dually it will take off on it's own.

Having a great time even with the smaller turnouts the last few weeks. Finally got my nitro truck to finish a couple races and the track was PERFECT for the mains. Three new track records with the way the track was this week and we still have a couple weeks of racing left. Just another reminder that we will be at the Fair on August 21st so we won't be racing here on the 22nd.

hey guys yes im sure ur tired of answering these questions! but does anyone ever have 1\8 scale nitro buggys at the fair im thinkin about going up there and racein but if no one has any buggys i guess there would be no point in me racein so i was just wondering oh and rick i was wondering if you have any long glow plug wrenches at ur shop??

Knoxville.........short answers, no and yes. The track is WAY to small for 1/8 buggies and yea I have a couple of the Dubro wrenchs here.

Andy.....did you get that rear end apart to see if it was the ring and pinion gear? I have that and the spider gears set aside for you so when you decide which you need, let me know.

Wow! Dig that lap time and average speed Matt laid down in the Production Main. Doesn't corner well, but goes like hell! Now if I could only get my cars to go that fast!

Joy and I were over to the fair last night and I checked out the R/C track. I have to say it looks better than I've seen it since right after it was built. Whoever is responsible should be thanked by all of us. The side walls have been painted white, the driverstand has been painted, and the dirt looks like its been worked up and raked out smooth...even the infield looks good! Should make for some a$$ kickin' dirt oval racing if the weather cooperates. This is one of the few remaining dirt oval races left in this area and it's only once a year.
So if you've been going to race your R/C all summer but haven't, or even if you've never raced, get 'em out, dust 'em off and come on down to the Fair this Saturday and have some fun!
