Jcook 02-29-2004, 09:30 PM Todd u interested in a new body?...got a XXX Body painted in chrome with red/white/blue stars and stripes...brand new canbquik 02-29-2004, 10:02 PM Todd, no they will not.... let me see what I can come up with!!!! scoutout02 03-01-2004, 06:47 PM Jim, maybe for offroad season. then i can blind the competion. how much? thanks Cris. by the way, are there any rules for putting cooling holes in your body for electric? OvalmanPA 03-01-2004, 07:39 PM Todd.......swiss cheese all you want man, they make more. :D No seriously, no rules against as many holes in the body as you'd like. The weather was REALLY tempting me today and so was the gasser every time I rolled by it. LOL Did you run yours yet? Jcook 03-01-2004, 08:55 PM Todd.....Tell you what I'll bring it in Sun.....and you can make me reasonably fair offer? Here's a couple picts if your interested.. http://users.adelphia.net/~nitemareonelm/DCP_0348.JPG http://users.adelphia.net/~nitemareonelm/Dcp_0347.jpg http://users.adelphia.net/~nitemareonelm/Dcp_0346.jpg scoutout02 03-02-2004, 06:30 PM Jim I won't be there this weekend, i have Nat'l Guard. looks sweet though. i'm gonna have to wait, if you have another buyer by all means sell it. but i'll more than likely take it off your hands. i'll be there in 2 weeks. Rick, my driveway looks like, well you know. i really don't wanna deal with that mess. but the cream did help. lol Jcook 03-02-2004, 08:04 PM Jim I won't be there this weekend, i have Nat'l Guard. looks sweet though. i'm gonna have to wait, if you have another buyer by all means sell it. but i'll more than likely take it off your hands. i'll be there in 2 weeks. Rick, my driveway looks like, well you know. i really don't wanna deal with that mess. but the cream did help. lol I'll bring it to the track when u can make....just let me know what week you'll be there. The only blemish is the black bleedthru from the window tint, about 4 cm there on the corner of the rear, as u saw in the pict...other than that...the picts really don't do it proper justice... EvaderAndy 03-03-2004, 07:59 AM Hey Todd, Rick told me and mike about that little blue wire that comes out of the Dually ESC. Its for an extrax battery for those high torque servo's that need a little more juice  OvalmanPA 03-03-2004, 04:37 PM Actually I said it was "probably" for FET boosted servos such as those sold by KO. They need more power from the ESC and usually use one of these extra wires. It could also be for Novaks optional brake light kit for the Dually. :) EvaderAndy 03-03-2004, 05:33 PM Actually I said it was "probably" for FET boosted servos such as those sold by KO. They need more power from the ESC and usually use one of these extra wires. It could also be for Novaks optional brake light kit for the Dually. :) ooohhh k1m 03-03-2004, 06:05 PM I believe the blue wire is for FET servos. Unless you have a FET servo, make sure that blue wire isn't bare and doesn't touch the chassis. I don't think I would try to run a fan or light hooked up to it either, Andy. (I know how you think) It could cause some real damage or at least a bad glitch. :freak: Jcook 03-03-2004, 06:12 PM Acutally Novak makes no mention of the blue wire you mention.....but They do say that there is no brake light option on the dually....so I guess that takes that out of the equation. Jcook 03-03-2004, 06:17 PM They do say that there is no brake light option on the dually....so I guess that takes that out of the equation, but the wire is to interface the ESC to servos that have an external FET driver (such as KO FET servos). Connected in this manner, the servo is turned on and off with the ESC. A Filter Kit (#5630) is also necessary and available from Novak EvaderAndy 03-03-2004, 09:41 PM I don't think I would try to run a fan or light hooked up to it either, Andy. (I know how you think) your starting to know me to well K1m  OvalmanPA 03-04-2004, 07:47 PM Some people just shouldn't have so much "tinkeritis" is all. Jcook 03-04-2004, 09:48 PM Some people just shouldn't have so much "tinkeritis" is all. But I like tinkertoys and legos......... Polli 03-05-2004, 12:52 AM Rick is the track dry yet? Jcook 03-05-2004, 10:47 PM polli you gonna make it this sunday? i goofed on my drill weekend. its not till later this month. Do you want me to bring that body in SUn? OvalmanPA 03-06-2004, 07:21 PM Rick is the track dry yet? Is it dry yet? I need to catch some air!!!! I'll tell ya what, if the rain would stay away about two more days it would probably be runnable! There is a little snow in the lower corner but if you stay way to the inside it is easily missed. It's not in the best shape mind you but fun to play on. Deb........I'm assuming you guys got the right address now because I've e-mailed you a couple times today. :) postmaster@racersedgerc.com is the new address by the way guys. I changed internet providers so the old one went away. OvalmanPA 03-07-2004, 08:53 PM Well we're coming down to the end of the season but the speeds continue to crawl up. Three new track records today with K1M finally beating the BRP creators track record in Open BuRP modified. Tom Himes visited again and upped his previous record in Stock TC and Mike Button continues to show why he's the points leader in Production. We aren't quite done yet but the fat lady is beginning to clear her throat! Two points weeks and a trophy day left to go in our carpet season. Seems like it's gone by aweful fast! It's snowing again............. Yeah...when I left your shop the road were pretty slippery........as soon as I hit SMethport it let up a bit. I dunno what your doing to make it snow.....but don't bring it over to Port....had enough of it here....loolol  El Guapo 03-08-2004, 08:54 PM Hey Rick... Messin' with the Monster GT and I have to say that the only gripe I have is that the steering servo is: 1) Slower than snot on a snowy day 2) Weaker than my Dad's coffee Was wondering what suggestions would be on a decent servo, both in torque and speed. The Terra Crusher at least has a 1/4 scale servo that blasts left and right without any problems. I guess that's what I get for buying "Non-Tamiya" Kim- How's the boat paintin' coming? OvalmanPA 03-09-2004, 02:54 PM Steveo!............So when am I gonna get to see that bad boy? Tonight? Thursday? Not sure on a servo, guess it depends on what you wanna spend. :D Just out of curiousity, would the Tamiya servo fit in it? Maybe you could get another of those if you like the one you have in the crusher? I have a Hitec 945 in my EMaxx that I'm pretty happy with right now. I believe it is 153 oz torque and .14 sec?? Can't remember for sure now. Of course Airtronics makes one that is 200 oz but you'll want to bring a bag of cash to buy it too. Jim........I tell ya we live in some kind of rain/snow belt here in this hollow. It can be sunny all around us and raining or snowing here! OvalmanPA 03-14-2004, 09:49 PM Still haven't hit that "holy grail" of 70 laps but they keep getting closer. Tom Himes chopped away at it a little more today to walk away with a new track record. Only two weeks remains and I dunno about anybody else but I'm ready to get outside in the warm weather and do some off roading!
