Andy, polli isn't going to make it this week i'm pretty sure. Rick i bought the wrong rear lock nuts for my XXX. i needed p/n a6310, they are 8-32 locknuts can i exchange the 4-40's i picked up on sunday? i also need a turnbuckle wrench if ya have one. can't believe i forgot to look for one today.

Polli

Sorry Andy, but i won't be able to make it up to race Sunday. I have a Christmas Breakfast w my pops and Bro's. I hope to make it up to watch the mains though.

Rick Can ya get another pair of front wheels for my sedan. Solid Dish if ya can plz. The black spoke ones are crap...they broke, and I don't remember having any "Major" wrecks last time I ran it.
Thanx a mucho!

OvalmanPA
12-27-2003, 02:07 PM
Todd...........sorry but I don't have any 8-32 nuts. The ones you have are 10-32 for the rear which I was afraid would be wrong since you have CVDs. Why do you want to exchange the 4-40s, they will fit the front? Sorry, no turnbuckle wrench either.

Polli.........are those the reds or purples? I'm thinking reds but just want a confirmation. As far as getting the yellow dishes. I'll try but it's going to depend on what they have in stock. :(

Well if all goes well, this week we'll be running with the new Autoscore software and laptop. I think I have things all set up on it and once I get down there in the morning I'll see if things are going to work. You might have to bear with us just in case there are any glitches, ya know, Winders and all. :) New AMBrc system will hopefully be here first week of January. I hope all this upgrade goes smoooooothly. LOL

scout: Not sure what size nutz you need, but I can probably help ya out. Might even have a spare tierod wrench, depending on what one you need,..Losi, Lunsford, etc.
Ovalman: What comes with new system, just decoder or all new transponders and everything?

scoutout02
12-27-2003, 09:02 PM
thanks Kim, i have lock nuts on the rears, i was just getting extra parts. as far a the turnbuckle wrench goes, i'm not sure which ones are on it. i got it 3rd hand. we'll check it out tommorow. thanks lots.

Sugar Daddy
12-27-2003, 09:08 PM
Hey Todd... the car is a XXX-KE right? If so, they come with Lundsford turbuckles stock.

OvalmanPA
12-27-2003, 11:10 PM
Kim.......we ordered decoder, 10 rechargeable transponders and 5 personal transponders just in case somebody decided to get one later. :) If we wanted to pay more we could have gotten a whole new system with charge rack, coax, and loop but figured it isn't really necassary since all those items are interchangable.

Rick, I have the harder compound on the front and softer compound on the rear of the sedan. so that's the the red compound up front right? purple for the rear? The rims themselves arent labeled, But I'm 99.9% sure that's the way I had it. As for the spoke vs Solid dish, I don't want the spokes, it's a waste of cash. I'll just keep super glueing the ones I have now if I have to. So if there is anyway of finding out what's left in stock before ordering plz do

OvalmanPA
12-28-2003, 08:52 PM
Sorry Polli but I really have no way of knowing before I order them. :( So let me know for sure if you really want them before tomorrow around 12.

I love that Reedy Quasar! It charges my 2400 in under 7 minutes at 5. amps!

OvalmanPA
12-30-2003, 10:27 PM
Andy.....Ummm, I'm glad you like it but I'm not so sure you got a full charge in 7 minutes. A 2400 should probably take about 25-30 minutes. Mine usually take about 30-34. Set the peak detect threshhold at 10mv a cell (it will be 60mv for the pack) and charge at 5 amps in NiCD mode. I charge my green AAs and my new 2000 AAs at 1.5 amps on NiMH mode with the same peak threshhold (10mv a cell).

See my reply to Andy for the status on orders. Seems they might have been closed last week. We'll see if anything comes this week. 16x3v2.5 charger should work pretty well. The one I have here is not the "Pro" version so it doesn't have the digital readout on it like Sugar Daddies does. Works with both NiCDs and MiMH cells. Believe it is $75. The partial charge is for when you have run your pack dead and need to put some juice back into it before storage.

If any of you are interested or know of anybody lookin for double x parts, I got a slew of them that I'm gettin rid of. The only things I want to keep are hardware like bearings, ball studs and the like. I'm just tired of lookin at all the extra parts that I collected for my double x over the years. And since I'm putting it into retirement for sentimental(or just plain mental) reasons, I'll have no use for these parts. So if anyone wants some free double x parts lemme know.
