hey rick, how much would it be for a basic AE RC10T3 w/ cheap esc? i'm rackin my brain for christmas for my son. plus, then it would be 2 to 1 against wiffy poo. lol

just a heads up...... I have a xxxt spec truck ( roller, no elec.) with, bearings and ti turnbuckles, comes with body and foam tires ( about 3 weeks only on them), manual. Asking $100. See ya at the meet!!!!! Chris :wave:

I still have that T3 up here Todd but it's $165. Thinking of raffling it off this winter actually. They've discontinued the T3 now so getting one (new) might be a challenge. You could check out some of the on-line shops and see if any have a blowout deal on them. I'll check and see though if our distributor has any left. As for a cheap ESC, Duratrax Intellispeed sport or Futaba MC230CR if you want reverse and I have both. The Duratrax doesn't have reverse but is $30.

Todd.........basic T3 with bushings........looking at $130 and you still need a radio, servo, and ESC. If you were going to do that I'd almost recommend spending another $30 and getting the RTR Evader I have here.

evaders run great they come with bearing instead of bushings a forward/reverse ESC the only thing I had to add was a different motor and I changed the conections and different rear tires for off-road and plus rick has it for $10 less than what I paid for it and other than that I think there alsome :thumbsup:

I just found 3 550 motors! I found them in my old power wheels vehicles just hope they work when I need them.

the evader price sounds great, but i was talkin to my son and says the he likes the buggies better. so Rick, what do you have for buggies? he says he likes the Duratrax evader bx. i thought that might be an ok starter car for him. thoughts? suggestions?

That is a good choice as well. Both the truck and the buggy come with Duratrax's "Stress-tech" guarantee or whatever they call it, with the plastic parts. If you break it, they will replace it. Can't beat that!

Todd......right now I have no buggies. The Evader buggy seems like it would make a pretty good starter car also. I don't know what kind of price your looking at though, I'd have to check on that.

i saw them in tower for $120 prebuilt w/ esc. i was wondering if you could get something comparable for around that or maybe a little more. you know, support your local hobby store and all.

quik question for all nitro gurus out there. i just read in the dec car action, racer news section. that your engine will run cooler and perform better w/ 30% nitro fuel than it will w/ 20%. now, my manufacture suggest 20% as the highest. should i disreguard that and go for it? what do ya'll think?

you can go higher, but all you do is put more wear and tear on your motor. Normally the higher the nitro, the less the lubrication!! Before you go up in nitro content, try using a race fuel. I was using RTR Byron 20% with 16% lubrication, which is accually higher than Traxxas, But because there is a PURER nitro used it had alot more punch!!! Just my .02 :)

There is some truth there. With 30%, you can get the same performance at a richer setting than you would with 20% at a leaner setting. And as you know, richer the setting, the cooler the engine. I myself, wouldn't go over 25%. I run 20% in all my cars.

Hey Scout, as for your question about the charger, the 16x2 doesn't charge Ni-Mh. The updated 16x2-2.5 version does. If you got the wrong one, Integy can upgrade it for about $35. NiCDs are beginning to be harder to get, especially higher capacity ones. Why NiCDs and not NiMHs? Heck as Courtney showed yesterday, even 1700s can still be competitive though. :) I'll see what I can dig up for battery prices.

Now for your Evader BX prebuilt. $115

Hey Scout, I have a couple packs if you want them. 2400's. They are not matched, but run great! They are the batteries that I ran in my 2WD stock truck during the end of the offroad season. I have only run them about 10-15 times. I'll sell them for both for $50. I paid $75 new. Let me know.

i need NiCds because thats the only type my charger will accept :( you were rite Sean. but thats ok. 2000 - 2400's should be plenty o' battery for me. i had some trouble with the 3300's i bought a while back. i'll let you know about the batteries in a few days if thats ok Sean. i let you know about the Evader BX in a couple of days too Rick. thanks. :thumbsup:

I just found another battery that I can throw into the deal. It's a 1500. I used it with the electric starter on my savage. I used it only 3 times. It would make a great practice pack, maybe a race pack. All 3 for $50. (2 2400's and the 1500)

hello all,i just saw a 2 pack set of batteries from Team Orion. V-MAXX Super Duty 2400 Nicd Battery Pack Set. dirt cheap but would they be good for my buggy?

oh one more question, again. is there an advantage/disadvantage to stick=== or side by side IIIIII?

Scout: No real advantage unless they're matched and you plan to use a discharge tray, then they would have to be side by side....IIIIII
The end to end packs are spot welded and must be cheaper to make, but they both work fine.

K1M........I dunno what the holdup is on the little off roaders. :confused: Asked supplier and they said still on backorder with no ship date. :rolleyes:

Todd.........seems to me canbquik has some of those cells for his Maxx and they seem to work well. Don't know why it wouldn't be the same for your buggy?
