yeah thanks kim even though I can't read what my dad wrote all I know is that there was a note on my maxx when i got home that said all done. I guess he figured it out for his 4 clock. thanks K1m for the tips i fugured i'd have to wait awhile till i could get another ESC but the maxx is now coming sunday. I was hoping not to miss it. I think it's way more fun than production. Production's cool but it's competive and maxx is just plan fun like BRP :thumbsup:

Hey Rick, that paper I told you about, it's from a company called: Invent it! It's thier clear decal paper. They are the ones that make the glossy decal paper also.

Rick, I just got done checking my turnbuckles. They are all 1 7/8". I thought that there was 2 different sizes. What would it cost for a set?

Great day for a race with beautiful skys and plenty of people to enjoy the fun. Turnout continues to hold at right around 17 every week so I'm happy. Only three weeks remain to "get it done in the dirt".

That's Ok, It's a good thing that you did order them. The guy from ebay sent me an email saying that he messed up when he set the auction up. The price was supposed to be $40, not $20. He said that he would sell them to me for that price, not the auction price that I won them for! I just sent him an email saying just "No". So I guess I will still be getting the turnbuckles from you.

And El Guapo, I will be able to come over weds. I thought that I had to work nights, but I have day shift then. Let me know when you can make it, I have to work untill 4:30, I can be there just after 5 if I hustle.

Shaun.......I think I'd argue with the guy or at least leave him negative feedback. Of course it depends how long the auction had been going on too. If it had just started I'd say it would have been hard to correct but if it had been going on for a couple days then it's the guys loss since he wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. Oh btw, I have a "stock" 2" turnbuckle you can use till the others come. It's one off a XXT and they are buttery soft so don't hit anything. :)

I got a turnbuckle off of Kim to use for now. I'll keep yours in mind just incase! As far as the auction, it started 2 days before I saw it. I Went back to give negative feedback, but I can't find the auction again. He must of completely removed it.

That's unusal. :confused: Try going to your "my eBay" and if you used a buy it now option it should be listed under there to go to the auction.

A great day of racing at RER/CR&H this week. Day was pretty cloudy but the rain held off until we were completed, even taking down the computer equipment! A couple new records to report. First to fall was the Stock truck record as Tom himes posted a run two seconds faster than his previous time. The record now stands at 11/4:20.67. The other record was by yours truely in the Electric Maxx class. Never did I think I (or anyone) could outdue my 10/4:10 run of last week but I managed to click off a 10/4:08.27 in the second qualifier to post the new record. I was also on a 10/4:08 run in the first qualifier but a slight brain fart screwed that one up. :rolleyes: I'm predicting that this record will stand up for the final two races of the year but you never know. :) Only two races remain in the off road season before we take a break to prepare for carpet racing. Hope to see everyone there!

Hello All!!! I finally got my internet back today, sorry I havn't been racing the last couple of weeks, it's a long story. I plan on making it the last 2 though, got a new triple x(well new to me) to break in. Rick did that phobia body and wing arrive yet? and do you happen to have a pair of front stub axles? (A-9952) they don't have to be blue

Polli.....The Phobia body did come on Monday so it's here and waiting. I don't have part #A-9952 but I do have A-1133 which are the stock (non blue) XXX stub axles and screws.

Shaun......Your LXT camber rods and gear cover came yesterday too. :thumbsup:

Kool thanks Rick, hopefully I'll be up to get the body and stub axles thursday or friday. Do you happen to know of anything on the market that dissolves thread lock? That is the reason why I need new stub axles, because there was so much threadlock on the screws that I snapped the heads off when I was doing some routine maintenance on the axle's bearings

HOLY CRUMBS! Snapped the heads before the threadlocker broke loose? Somebody definitly didn't want things coming apart huh? lol I dunno anything that dissolves it but maybe somebody else does. I'm thinking the stockers come with a li'l thread locker on them anyway so I dunno if I'd put anymore on? :confused:

Not me. I have to work. That is unless I call in dead, but I already did that last week. (I don't think that they would believe me again!)

I almost forgot! The only way that I know of getting threadlocker loose is to heat it. I had to do that with a couple screws on the savage.

Savage has the right idea, heat is the way to make the high strength threadlock come loose. Someone probably used the wrong kind.....blue threadlock is what you want to use....the red stuff is the industrial strength that needs to be heated to make it let go. Also, threadlock is meant only for metal to metal use, in fact it will dissolve some plastics like ABS.

Carpetburner and I have now entered the world of nitro, have the broken finger blister to prove it too! After a bit of a rough beginning, we seem to have things working pretty well now. Things still need a little work but boy are they fun!

yea, I'd say the previous owner of my triple x definately didn't want the axle screw coming loose from the stub axle. He had the screws coated with blue thread locker from where the wheel mates up flush on the stub axle, all the way to the head of the screw. I had loosened it just enuff to get too much slop when the screw broke. So there I was, SKREWED. I think your right, Rick about the stockers coming w a lil bit of lock, I'll use cheap superglue if I absolutely must use a locker. It holds, but breaks loose easy enuff. Nothing worse than a stuck screw

Oh yea, anyone know much about air brushes? I bought this 80$ Badger kit, used it once it was fine. Tried to use it the other night to paint the excelerator body on the dublex (dubble x), and the damn thing blew liquid mask all over my hand. I tried cleaning the hell out of it, but still the same deal. Any ideas?

Well how did you get hell in it in the first place? :jest: I'd say completely disassemble it and see if there is any gunk left in it somewhere if you haven't already. Sounds like the spray nozzle is probably clogged.

LOL :) Alot of cramming. Hell is pretty big from what I hear. I stripped it down as far as I could. I dunno, it looks almost brand new. It just doesn't act like it.
