michael button 08-26-2003, 08:37 PM hey im interested in the truck how much ya want for it OvalmanPA 08-26-2003, 10:10 PM Knoxville........ya just got it and yer sellin' it all ready??  at Savage21. El Guapo 08-27-2003, 12:08 PM "Squeal like a pig boy! WEEEEEEEEEE" Hey Sav 21- When you coming over to practice? post and I'll try to stop up with the Crusher. Ovalman- Any word if anyone is coming to practice tonite? Your Dad was ribbin' me that tonite is practice night. Polli 08-27-2003, 01:31 PM ovalman would you happen to have a body to fit a XX w short chassis? or even a part #? Mine is just barey held together by some thread and some super glue! OvalmanPA 08-27-2003, 02:10 PM El Guapo.......Adam usually stops up but it will probably depend on what he thinks the track is like. **In my best NY accent** :D Polli......I don't have any here but I can get one. I just got one of the Losi Xcellerator bodies for El Guapo and they seem like a good fit. I'd have to look up the part number though. ******** Part # for Xcellerator body is LOSA8042 ($16.00) It doesn't come with a wing so you'll need part # LOSA8107 ($2.50) which is the V wing for the XXCR. XXL body (XX/XXCR) part # is LOSA8040 ($16.00) Regular XX wing part # is LOSA8105 ($2.50) Savage21 08-27-2003, 02:14 PM El Guapo.. I can't come by tonight, but I might be able to do so tomorrow. I'll let you know. Knoxville 08-27-2003, 04:22 PM is 150.00 to much the truck is just about brand new i know i just got it but my paintball career just went to new hights i got a sponsor and i cant afford r/c now but i when i get a job i will get another one!! but right now i just cant afford all the stuff i need like batteries they are just to expensive but the truck its self is in great condition i would post pics but i dont got a digital camera so let me know if you want it or not if that is to much i will drop a little but it comes with stuff so i am askin 150 Polli 08-28-2003, 12:17 AM (In my best Guawd Fawtha accent) ey, Ovalman, which one of those bodies fit's the shorter chassis? I'm not very familiar w the CR, as mine is the original w pretty much the only original parts bein the transmission and the shock bodies. So it isn't that original any more, but it was when I got it back when cars were still connected to your controller by a wire, Not this fancy invisible radio wave stuff! Polli 08-28-2003, 12:19 AM oh yea, and would you order that body and wing whenever ya get a chance? OvalmanPA 08-28-2003, 01:40 PM Actually, the chassis between the XX and XXCR is the same, it's the rear end that's different (arms, pivot plate/block, hubs) so either body will work. Seems to me the Xcellerator body was a little thicker in the rear body mount area so it should be a little stronger? I order Mondays so I'll put those on the list for next ordering. Knoxville 08-28-2003, 06:07 PM hey michael button u still interested in my losi?? Polli 08-29-2003, 01:37 AM Ovalman, that sounds good, I agree both the XX and XXCR have the same chassis out of the Box,(I did some homework) but I don't have the original/standard chassis A-4100, it's sitting in my closet somewhere. Instead I have the short graphite chassis, A-9901. I think I had to buy a different body when I swapped out the standard w the short graphite, so I'm just hoping that the Xcellerator will fit w/out having to hack it too much OvalmanPA 08-29-2003, 01:31 PM Polli........I don't think there will be a big enough difference in chassis length to worry about it actually. You won't be able to just punch the holes in the body where marked stock is all. :) EvaderAndy 08-29-2003, 08:23 PM Are we racing Sunday and k1m and/or Joy is the party still on for tomarrow? Trashedmaxx: are you coming this week? the maxx main was alsome! :D OvalmanPA 08-29-2003, 08:37 PM Racing is still on right now for Sunday as long as we don't get a monsoon set in here the next couple days. I guess things are supposed to straighten up tomorrow around mid day and then Sunday calls for WIDELY scattered showers LATE in the day. Hope they are right on this one! scoutout02 08-29-2003, 09:45 PM hey poliopolusious, who needs a stinking perfect fit body anyways, i have a duratrax remember? AE TC3 body what??? scoutout02 08-29-2003, 09:57 PM hey ovalman, how much and when could you get me a MRC Super Brain 959 Charger? Oh, amd could i use 4 sub c cells for a reciever pack? thanks. k1m 08-29-2003, 10:55 PM Andy: It's still on, with all the rain the mosquitos are bad but the track looks pretty good. We may even set up a small track on the patio for the BuRPs. So bring something to play with, and your appetite. Bug spray or an armored suit might be a good idea too! trashedmaxx 08-30-2003, 12:45 PM Trashedmaxx: are you coming this week? the maxx main was alsome! i'm going to try and make but my grandma is having a picnic so if i can get out of that i'll be there hey rick i was wondering if those personal transponder's work on your system? OvalmanPA 08-30-2003, 01:30 PM Todd.....I can get you one in about a week. If I put in the order Monday it'll probably come next Monday. They are $48.00. Four sub Cs as a receiver pack? Boy you want some runtime huh? I don't see why you couldn't actually. Weither they are sub c or AA rechargable they would all be 1.2v a cell. This is the only problem with using rechargables. Alkalines are 1.5v a cell (6v) whereas nicds/nimh cells are 1.2v so you need to run one extra cell to get the same voltage. Mike.......from my understanding they will but ONLY the last number will register. So say the transponder # is 5682469, it would register as a #9 regular transponder. BlueIceMaxx 08-30-2003, 10:50 PM Hey guys! Sorry I haven't made it down yet. My maxx is being a pain (needs a GOOD glow plug), I just bought a new R/C, and school just started. School REALLY sucks this year. Here's a pic of my new truck... http://wertz.home.westpa.net/images/JeroPics/000_0664.jpg Its a Tamiya XC Chassis with an Old Kyosho Big Brute body and a fake engine I found at Kmart. :D Its a fun little bugger. EvaderAndy 08-30-2003, 11:07 PM Had a great time at Kim and Joy's today !! Thanks Kim and Joy ! :) :) EvaderAndy 08-31-2003, 07:41 AM K1m and Joy's funday was asome! well that's untill the last session when the maxx group desided to try the track backwards. I was first one to go over the pipes and wail kim's steps down to his house luckaly I just took a hunk out of my bumber. Then kim did the same and broke his lower front a-arm but kept on racing. Then he T boned into an iron steak next to the track and sliced his body somemore. Great party k&J! Savage21 08-31-2003, 09:12 AM Whoo Hoo.... My truck is back together and ready to run! I will be there and hope that I don't rip out another drive shaft! Good thing for overnight delivery! OvalmanPA 08-31-2003, 08:10 PM What a great day of racing! The track was perfect today that's for sure and the records broken sure do prove it! I'll have full results tomorrow. OvalmanPA 09-01-2003, 02:36 PM We had some rain Friday night into Saturday morning and track conditions couldn't have been better come Sunday if you ask me. There was LOADS of traction for the first qualifier, the second wasn't quite as good, and then with the little watering before the main the traction was right there again. Three records bit the dust this week. First to go was the Stock buggy record as Adam Hamilton once again lowered the time, this time about a second rather than just squeaking in a record like last week. The record now stands at 11/4:23.51. Next to fall not once but twice was the 4wd buggy record. Courtney Morse came out firing and at the end of the day he had beaten Justin Johnsons previous record for the class by 6 seconds. The record now stands at 11/4:10.73. Last to go was the Electric Maxx record. Courtney Morse took it away from me last week but I blistered the track this week and came away with a new record by 7 seconds. The Maxx was really handling well this week! The record now stands at 10/4:10.10. I think these records will stand for awhile now unless we can have track conditions like we did this week again. I'm sure the Stock buggy record will get faster but how soon, I dunno. I ran a pretty good race in Electric Maxx so how much faster this class can get remains to be seen. I guess only time will tell. A few new faces this week and I think everyone continues to have fun. The season is winding down now with only four weeks left to go. See everyone next week! See if you can handle some electric power without the cotton candy smell. Ovalman-- Tore apart the XXXt RTR, now it is pretty much just a regular XXXT. No chassis flex at all now. New chassis, new front and rear arms, both new pivot blocks, braces, etc..... It was insane to see how much it really flexed. Now if I hit something, I'll be spendin' some burger money on parts (sorry Snook). Savage21 09-01-2003, 10:23 PM Yeah, I got it. Just one prob.. where does the gas go???????? I got a good question, it has a motor, but I don't know if it's stock or mod. It's a "Race Prep". On the end with the shaft it says ROAR and 16. I know that means ROAR legal, but does that mean it's a 16 turn? If so, what stock motor do you recommend? Thanks for the help. Joy 09-02-2003, 08:12 AM EvaderAndy should have had first in Production. I did jump a barrier. It wasn't on purpose though. I gave it the gas when I should have hit reverse. Story of my life. My only excuse is that Randy had me all excited. Sorry Andy. Savage21 09-02-2003, 09:59 AM Sure Joy, you didn't mean to do it! (wink wink) Just kidding! ;) OvalmanPA 09-02-2003, 01:41 PM Shaun......I'm not familiar with Race Prep motors but I'm guessing your theory is right but who knows? As far as what stocker goes. I'd say try out a P2K, P2K2, or MVP as I think they are about the best motors right now for off road. P2K would probably be the "torquiest" motor of the bunch. I'd also suggest a Fantom tuned motor of any of these when you decide. Sorry guys for not correcting that main result in Production. Like I told Joy in the email I sent. Have you ever woke up in the morning and felt like you did something wrong but couldn't figure out what and then it dawns on you? :) Points and results on website have been corrected. Joy made a little "boo boo" and should have went back but we won't hold it against her.......to much. :jest: EvaderAndy 09-02-2003, 03:43 PM EvaderAndy should have had first in Production. I did jump a barrier. It wasn't on purpose though. I gave it the gas when I should have hit reverse. Story of my life. My only excuse is that Randy had me all excited. Sorry Andy. It's okay, It was a good race joy  Savage21 09-02-2003, 07:46 PM Hey El Guapo. If your not busy, I'm gonna try to be at Rick's friday sometime for practice. Let me know if you want to stop by, we can set up a time. OvalmanPA 09-02-2003, 08:31 PM Awe, isn't that cute? They're setting up a date. :jest: :jest: Savage21 09-02-2003, 09:40 PM (In my best "San Francisco" voice) Oh stop it! Your just jealous that you were not invited! :D k1m 09-02-2003, 10:06 PM I think I would have liked to see Ovalmans post BEFORE it was edited! Savage: I hear your new name is "Sugar Daddy" Pic of CanBquick "tuning" on his nitro truck.... El Guapo 09-03-2003, 08:31 AM Sav21- I can't say what time for sure, but post what is good for you and I'll see what's up with my schedule at that day. My work doesn't adhere to schedules very well. Hey Ovalman-(In my best "Texas same sex marriage voice")- Don't be so jealous, Mr. Nasty! :jest: OvalmanPA 09-03-2003, 10:48 AM You guys are soooo nassty. I'm guessing that pic was right after he ripped the pull cord out of it? lol Hey Canbquik, looks like there was a little ketchup incident on the front of ya there buddy? lol Can't let that stuff get the best of ya. :jest: Savage21 09-03-2003, 02:37 PM I can't make it friday. I'm not going to have a car then. My mom is going to take it to the doctors. I guess I will have to wait untill sunday! Oh well..... OvalmanPA 09-03-2003, 09:27 PM Unless things straighten up quick there will still be water on the track come Friday anyway! Savage21 09-03-2003, 10:34 PM Hey Rick.. What tires seem to work well at the track? My truck comes with the stock tires and I don't think that they will work. They are hard as a rock with no foams. They are 4 rib fronts with 1/2 worn step pins in the back. Also, what is the average cost for fronts and backs? I won't need rims. EvaderAndy 09-04-2003, 09:43 AM hey rick how much would it cost for a heat sink that you ordered for mike cause he gave me it and i going to need a secound one. Just price it for me please. OvalmanPA 09-04-2003, 01:02 PM Shaun......seems with the right setup and throttle control most tires work. I've tried IFMAR pins and T-2000s and both "work" but not as good as they could I guess. Adam, Tom, and Kim are running step pins now though and they seem to be working well. Tires (front or rear) from Losi are $17.95 pr and tires from Pro-line are $16.50 pr. Andy.......which one was that, a blue Associated heatsink? EvaderAndy 09-04-2003, 03:40 PM Andy.......which one was that, a blue Associated heatsink? yes. I figured I'd put them on my maxx. OvalmanPA 09-04-2003, 06:37 PM Was it the narrow or wide one (see pics)? I'm thinking it was the narrow one but can't remember for sure. EvaderAndy 09-04-2003, 08:47 PM Was it the narrow or wide one (see pics)? I'm thinking it was the narrow one but can't remember for sure. It was the wide one. BTW i might have a body for you to paint over the winter for my maxx  OvalmanPA 09-04-2003, 09:13 PM Andy........wide one is $13 EvaderAndy 09-04-2003, 09:35 PM ANYONE WITH AN E-MAXX! Do you know why would if you change the connetions to red and black that when you pluged in the motors the batts started buring up and the ESC light doesn't come on. Could it be that the wires were to close to the maxx ESC that it sent the heat through the wire and burn up the ESC?? :( :drunk: k1m 09-04-2003, 11:10 PM Andy: If you changed the plugs to the red & black sermos plugs you may have got the wires mixed up. It is suggested that you do one pair at a time to be sure not to switch a motor wire with a battery wire which would likely damage your EVX. Thats the biggest reason for Traxxas insisting that the plugs be stock for service. I don't think it would matter if you switch any 2 motor wires as long as you have a red & black to each motor. I would keep the battery motor wires paired up the way they come and absolutely not mix battery & motor wires. EvaderAndy 09-05-2003, 06:53 AM but we didn't change the motor wires. Only the batt wires/ just that when you did plug them in it did. But now it's not getting hot but it still doesn't work.you see the power wires on the ESC is only an inch long could the heat of the iron heat up the wire enough to make it to ESC and possiable fry it?? vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
