Did he have anything else stolen at the time?? I found this on www.pennswoods.net classifieds.

It's a few listings down. He is selling a truck and a few other things. Not sure if this is the right one or not.

I was wondering how many people are running 1/8 scale buggies? i'm going to try to make it there this weekend. It would be my first time racing there. And are there classes for emaxx's and electric stadium trucks?

OvalmanPA

Right now we have no one running 1/8 scale nitro. I don't know that it's that popular a class around here. We do have a class for electric maxxes and stadium trucks however.

Good find Shaun but that's not it. This was a brand new XXXT with radio equipment. Will have a JR XR2i radio, GMv3 ESC, and EPIC 19 turn motor. Keep an eye out guys.

Not really. :( We haven't had anybody running Tmaxxes or anything yet. Have a guy with a Terra Crusher, a guy with a Savage (Savage21), and a couple Tmaxxes around but they haven't all shown up at the same time yet.

Shaun.....from the sounds of things if we can get by tomorrow without to much it should be good to go for Sunday.

Hey Rick

Can my friend still use the track truck?

Cause he IS coming

OvalmanPA

Andy, sure he can. I'll charge the bats in the morning for it.

Track doesn't look bad guys. My Bro' is rolling in a few places that I raked as I type and things should be ready to go come morning barring any downpours tonight. :)

Turnout was one person better this week than last so just maybe things will pick up yet as the season goes on. Only one new track record to report this week. EvaderAndy took over the record from Michael Button in the Production class with a good run in a qualifier. The new record our Production drivers will be shooting for is 9/4.09.80. We tried something a little different this week when it came to track prep. Instead of watering between rounds, we swept the track. The traction was a little different but not bad I don't think. What did everybody that was there think of it? Well, weather permitting, we'll be in to our third race of the off road season this weekend so see everyone there.

Oh yes. Almost forgot. Just had to mention that what goes around, comes around. Last year Adam Hamilton beat Justin Johnson in the Modified truck A-main with a stock motor. This year the shoe was on the other foot as Justin was the guy with the stock motor and the win. :D

I think it was pretty good idea but either my set up's off or something but on the front stretch after the (table top) it seemed slick but other than that it was great hey It got me a new track record.

How's it work for you the rest of the track though Andy? You have to remember that in off road you aren't going to have a perfect setup for the entire track. You have to give up a little in certain areas to gain in others.

 Hey! looks like there's a 80% chance it'll be nice Sunday around 72 deg. I hope to give stock truck a try, I finally got around to putting the big tires on. I rebuilt the gearbox and was happy to find out that my slipper shaft wasn't bent as I suspected, the bearing was blown. What a difference a new thrust bearing makes too! It's been a while since I've set it up for dirt too, so I d-loaded the latest & greatest from Losi's website, we'll see if they've been doing their homework.
I'd say the traction was good last week, the sweeping gets the loose sand off the top and as wet as it's been there's still alot of wet clay underneath. Once you lose that wet base though, think we'll still have to water to keep the dust down and the rear tires planted. Speaking of traction, I noticed a couple of trucks that were actually squealing the front tires in the turns! Can't say I've ever seen that before, but I'm pretty sure that's whats happening.

TrashedMaxx: Glad to see you make the trip to race with us. Come back again and race EMaxx's with us....it's not as much fun with only two of us in that class. Seems like we've scared all the local Maxx's off...POKE**POKE !

We had another beautiful day for some off road racing and the track records did fall. First to go was the Modified truck record as Adam Hamilton lowered his own previous record to a 11/4:11.65. Next to go were a pair of records by yours truely in the Stock truck and Electric Maxx classes. :) I managed to beat the old record held by Adam Hamilton in the Stock truck division with a best run of 10/4:03.69. In Electric Maxx it was canbquiks record to fall with a run of 9/4:05.84. It's pretty good that I ran a better time in the mains with my Maxx than my stock truck. Best race of the day was the Production class as my partner and EvaderAndy went at for all the marbles. After crashes between the two kept handing over the lead to each other, Johna came out in the end as Andy crashed on the final lap allowing her to get by. It was a great weekend of racing and we look forward to seeing everyone again this Sunday!

 YEAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!

They get my vote for good service. After all the horror stories I've heard about them. they came through for me. I sent in my smoked EVX about 3 weeks ago and I recieved a "new" replacement in the mail today. The charge.....$0.00, nothing, zero....free replacement, pretty hard to beat I'd say. I did soldier their old plugs back on before I sent it in, but it was obviously not a defective problem. Maybe it helped calling them, I don't know...but they were very helpful.

Now if I could just drive it......

I seemed to have lost my setup since converting to the wide 2.5 suspension. It's more stable in high traction turns, but it seems looser and it definately doesn't jump like it did....time to rethink afew things I guess and start over.....

So k1m, did you make any changes before coming up to practice the other night? Did they help?

EvaderAndy

That car I built is ready and waiting but I won't jump with it I hope cause the Mechanical speed control isn't bolted down to well. I tryed it out last night and went pretty good down the road but in the same spot where the wheel fell of it gerked off the road launched off a pieace of flag stone (Which was holding the slouse pipe in) and somehow went over the creek and the MSC cracked the housing it was bolted to.

See ya Sunday!!

What a great day for off road racing, that is until the rain came. :( Three new records in the book again this week. These records just continue to fall. First to go was the Electric Maxx record as I managed to up the record by a lap this week after last weeks time lowering run. The new record now stands at 10/4:25.56. Next to go was the Nitro Maxx record as Tom himes upped his old record by a lap also to make it 14/6:27.86. Last to go was a smokin' run by Chris Burrows to up his previous record in the 1/10 Nitro truck division by a lap also with a run of 15/6:24.10. I think the little shower definitly helped out the nitro guys! We've decided the track isn't bad when swept, not bad when watered, but it is downright GREASY when the rain comes before it gets completely watered down. The Stock truck main got underway just as the rain started coming down pretty well and things got pretty slippery REAL quick. Heavy throttle fingers were definitly NOT rewarded with forward momentum here! BTW, this weekend was our best turnout for the summer so far with 18 people. Thanks everyone for coming and we'll see everybody again next weekend.

Hi Jeff. First of all, that Ford emblem has to go man! Sorry, couldn't resist. :jest:

Anyway, now that the joking is set aside. Yes we do have a track and it is up Bloomster Hollow. You are more than welcome to come race with us. We would place you in what we call the Nitro Maxx class to run. Entry fee for two qualifiers and a main is $8. Fees for practice are none, nada, zilch, zero so you can come play on the track whenever you like. Please make sure someone is around the property before practicing however. At this time we do not sell nitro fuel but it's beginning to look like I may have to get some in stock. Hope we see you soon. Check out our website (www.racersedgerc.com) for full details.

As those of you that raced last weekend know the traction was a little iffy on the DRY track. We watered the heck out of it on Saturday night and then again Sunday morning and it dried right out in about a half hour. I'm working on trying to get things so they stay moist for a little longer this week. Tried impact style sprinklers but they creat a heck of a mess right around the bottom. We tried a small "whirrlygig" style and it seemed like it's going to work better. Have to make a trip back to Wallyworld now and see if they have any of these we can daisychain together now. Hope to have things worked out for this week but we might have to deal with a low traction track again. :(

hey Rick

How does the double points work? Do they double your season points or double the points that you win that day?

OvalmanPA

Andy, it just doubles the points you receive that day. So if you get first in the A main, rather than getting 175 you get 350.

Turned out to be a great day for racing again this week. We had three more records broken this week. These things just continue to fall. First Dennis Himes broke the previous record held by Kim Fortner in the Modified buggy class with a run of 11/4:14.89. Next to fall was the Nitro Maxx record as Tom Himes once again lowered his time with a run of 14/6:10.96. Finally to go was the 1/8 scale nitro class record as a first timer to our track, Dean Gordon broke the record previously held by Mike Barrett with a run of 14/6:07.99. We had our best turnout ever at our track this week with 25 racers making the trek to our neck of the woods. Thanks to everyone for the support!

Hey guys...I just recently found out about your tracks. I have a T-Maxx and was wondering if you have a T-Maxx class for the offroad track? My friend and I are looking for somewhere to race. If so...what are the rules for the class?

Shawn's really getting his truck hooked up....I think Savage is a perfect name for his truck! He was breathing right down Tom's neck for most of the race.

Team Fortner won't be there next weekend, we're off to BRP World Headquarters in Elyria, Ohio to race with Bud and the gang on the 1/18 scale track. Quite a change from EMaxx racing, huh?

BlueIceMaxx: you will be racing in the Nitro Maxx class with your TMaxx, you're gonna love the jumps! Screw those shock caps on tight!
Here's a link to Racer's Edge rules:

Ok cool...I read the rules for the T-Maxx Class. My friend barely makes it in with his .18 maxx. I have a .16 in mine right now but I gotta break it in. Would it be possible before I start racing...that maybe the first time I run there (which will be this weekend I hope) I can just practice on the track before and after the races? Then during the races I can just watch. Gotta find the right setup and gear's for the track.

BlueIceMaxx.......your more than welcome to practice before and after we race. The track is actually open all week for practice as long as someone is here so if you want to stop over any time it's no problem. As far as the motor rules go, you'll notice that, that .18 is only a "recommendation" as the class is also designed for other trucks with bigger engines (Savage, Titan, etc). :) Btw.........what k1m said is right, you'll wanna make sure you have those plastic shock caps on good or you'll be cleaning off shock fluid. OR, you could stop into our shop and look at the new Dynamite blue shocks I just got in while your here. They'd look real good on that truck! :D Maybe we'll see you here this weekend.

If there was an engine limit of .18, I wouldn't be able to race! I might have a surprise when I come back!
