View Full Version : Red - Orange and White (early) Jags Steve C. 05-21-2006, 12:59 PM http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/SteveCameron/DSC02279.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/SteveCameron/DSC02277.jpg PlaysW/cars 05-21-2006, 07:20 PM Looks good - that's a great additon to your collection. David  ausbeckett 05-21-2006, 10:13 PM Wow. That is nice. Think the orange is red painted over white? jedimario 05-22-2006, 09:14 AM Looks remarkably similar to a streamlined BMW 328 Raodster from the '30's. chrycopaul 05-22-2006, 01:51 PM Did the other two colours ever come with unpainted bases? Steve C. 05-22-2006, 06:49 PM Wow. That is nice. Think the orange is red painted over white? Steve...that is my thought, I can remeber back a in depth topic on the toy, I think it was on the inside the web site many years ago, or possibly another site. I can not recall ever seeing any raw base casts of the Red or White Jags, but I would put a call on myself if I thought "my thoughts" were ever 100 % correct in the arena of Lesneys output. ausbeckett 05-23-2006, 09:29 PM Did the other two colours ever come with unpainted bases? Good question. Stannard only mentions black bases for off-white and red bodies. Steve C. 07-02-2006, 11:35 AM Had a conversation with a friend (50 years of collecting experiance), his Orange Jag is also a raw based model... His Red and White Bases are also as Mike S denotes, so I am under the assumption, it is correct....black, can't be of any further help. 60sMetal 07-03-2006, 09:04 AM Nice Jags. Great condition too! STUTZ 07-04-2006, 01:59 PM Nice (early) Jags!   ausbeckett 07-05-2006, 09:59 PM Had a conversation with a friend (50 years of collecting experiance), his Orange Jag is also a raw based model... Steve, Maybe your friend will join us here? :) ChFalkensteiner 07-14-2006, 11:58 AM Interesting - this is the first time I see a 32A with an unpainted base. Impossible to tell from the picture alone if it is genuine, but as always with Matchbox: anything is possible! Steve C. 07-16-2006, 01:14 PM It is a interesting toy, none the less...
