1-Is there a certain amount of rake needed on chassis?

2-What are some of the effects of not enough rake?

3-What are some of the effects on having to much rake?

Thanks.

I was always told that the lower the front the more it would loosen the car (more steering) and the lower the rear it would tighten (less steering) the car. I noticed that on a 4 shock car this is more noticable than on a pan car but it has worked on both. Even small amounts of rake like 1/16 of an inch can change how a car reacts.

1-Is there a certain amount of rake needed on chassis? this is a tuning option and the amount is track and setup sensetive.. I always tried to use at least 20 thou, with as much as 60.. over 60 was to agressive..Plus your front to back ride height gets off kilter..

2-What are some of the effects of not enough rake?
a tight or pushy car.. a lazy non agressive feel ect..
3-What are some of the effects on having to much rake?
front end dragging.. car trying to screw itself into the ground.. ie way to much turn in..loose, to agressive, ect ect..
