How do they stack up against the RC Pacer and JL Gremmy?

I haven't seen them here yet. Looked yesterday.

Went to a few Walmarts this week and saw only the old stock. Checked ePay and looks like only one place got the Gremlin and Pacer (BIN price is $6.95!)

Only seen the 1/64 Pacer and Gremlin on the bay, too. The Cherries don't last long on the pegs...

Got them on my WalMart pegs and looks like no one has touched them.

Have seen them and some traffic from the pegs here..

I'm looking for the Gremlins and Pacers (in all colors) if anyone wants to work something out.

A Diecast store I have been dealing with for over the last 15 years ordered these models at my request and they arrived on Thurs. All 5 models were received - although the colors are limited in availability. Gremlin is orange and
the Pacer is blue only! Selling at $2.50 each to cover factory shipping etc. But W-M ones cost $2.10 including PA State tax and I still have not seen any in the Phila Suburban area! If interested

I will check again, and let you know...in my area it is hit or miss...somedays cars stay forever than other days they are gone in minutes.....the pegs were full so the luck should be good...

Found the Gremlins and Pacers in two stores today (Sat) one in Mass. and the other in R.I.

The AMC's have shown up in RI at a couple of stores.

We kinda got to plucking each other's nerves earlier today, and when my wife left for work (she teaches evening classes) we were barely speaking. She called after class to let me know she was picking up some grocery stuff at Wally's on the way home. Then she calls from the diecast aisle to ask what were the Cherry cars I've been looking for, and she tells me that they have the Gremlin and Pacer and what colors do I want. So there's a green Gremlin and a red Pacer on their way home to me... :D

I just picked up a manufacturing blooper today.The car is a 1977 Mustang II,however the pedestal the car is sitting on says "1974 AMC Gremlin".So they obviously assembled this package incorrectly.Hopefully its a one of a kind....maybe someday it will be worth a boodle....

So, how long has it been since this whole Fresh Cherries thing started? I just found the Gremlin and Pacer at WalMart, when I went out for lunch. I think I found the Fords about 6 months ago. :rolleyes:

I checked my WM every so often and never saw any of the gremlims and Pacers. Seems like the Mavericks and Mustangs eventually became peg warmers

I finally found all 3 colors of the Gremlin and PAcer this past weekend.
It has been so dry in NJ and then POP all of a sudden the stores have them.

ive never even had a GF period .

Doubt you will find one on Hobbytalk. Unless you like 40+ year old men.

I found one of each.. i didnt realize till i opened it, But my Gremlins little base packageing thing (the cardboard under it that says the name) says "1970 ford Maverick"..... So the poor little Gremlin doesnt get a real base to sit on, on my shelve.Oh well, it can sit and keep my JL gremlin company.

So it sounds like that company is making a number of mistakes.Keep posting mispackaged cars......we're up to 2 already....

These green and blues, it seems, have appeared at several WM in the New England area in the past 2 weeks. I've seen several in my travels around the Northeast lately.

These just showed up at my Wmart....I counted 19 cars I think

4 gremlins -blue, 2 greens, red
4 pintos - 2 yellow, 1 red, 1 green (i think)
3 pacers - 1 green, 1 red, 1 blue (i think)
4 mavericks - 1 yellow, i forget the rest
2 mustang IIs - black and brown i think

I inspected them for quite awhile, but i dunno, the quality just looked a little off. even for $1.92.

I left them all for someone else....now if only we'd get that many JLs on the pegs I'd be in heaven.

I agree, I paused too because the quality wasn't up to my standards either. But I bought them anyway, just to have them, with the rationalization that I'd probably give them to some kids in the future.
