Hey guys,
Just picked up a Revo that has just had a gallon of fuel put through it with nothing else done to it. Been racing electric for many, many years.
What are some does and donts with nitro and any links to sites about nitro would be nice.
Local racer where I am at has put me on the lead on a few good sites but wanted to see what else is out there that maybe of a benefit.
Any suggestions to mods that will help in racing would be great - I have to learn and get used to the truck but future purchases can be planned for upgrades.
Thanks
mike

patients is key in nitro. also do the maintnence. After run oil and when your done running, and your take is out of fuel, fire it up and get all the fuel out of the engine. Nitro collects moisture, that can damage the inside of your engine.also get a good temp gauge and watch your engine temps, mine has been a engine saver many time, expesially when i was learning to tune.

Doug - how are you checking the toe-in / out? I have an RPM gage but not sure if it is big enought to do these wheels?
Putting an order in today for parts and hope to have them in a few days to come play again with the monster trucks.
Glad you got a buggy - it was a little boring running just 3 of us - fun but I would have liked to have a pack going.
See ya,
mike

Got my list made - just have to put the order in tonight for the parts.
I hope to get everything and get it converted by this weekend but we will see. Getting into the tranny and stuff with no instructions will be fun but I can get the exploded views off traxxas's site.
I wanted to get th HPI roto conversion but I will wait - I am at least getting a real ignitor for the glow plug and a few extra plugs since the ones I got at my hobbyshop by me were not the long ones - will that make a difference?
See ya,
mike

The forward only kit comes complete with breakdown and instructions. got to love Traxxas
The plug makes all the difference in the world!! use only the Traxxas 3232 plug they are the best and the cheapest.
