Considering you guys have more sun than most of the country I wouldn't be surpised that it's true. How come no Florida racers come up north to race?

here is the trick...everyone in florida is from "up" north. once we get here we never leave! lol i'm from philly and will be up north the 3rd week in july to do a bunch of flounder fishing in cape may.and maybe a trip or two from the shore up to jims steaks or genos. all you have to do is promise my phat butt a cheese steak and i'm on the next flight,lol.

i have been whispering in mikes ear for 5 years now.....mike drop the on-road crap from the birds and make it oval only like from where it all started. he doesn't listen though.

and EA runs on-road crap now i have no idea why he even looks in the oval section anymore? he is just a has run.......

What about the west coast?Where all this left turn racin' started.Maybee some of you all florida folks could get out of that humidity for a few days & come out to the coast & play.we sorta need a left coast version of the birds.Unfortunatly,with the high cost of land out here,about the only big track left out here is the Encino velodrome.home of the original Thunderdrome.Allways has been & is still the big equalizer.We also have a 220' runline short track at Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus,Ca.Not alot of room for you folks to park your swampboats,but the L.A.river is right next to the track & we could put some blowup alligaters in it to make you folks feel right at home!Katfish,you crack me up.Larry Ruby said you we're good people & now i see why :thumbsup:

I can't get anything from that site. It is all so bunched together you can't see what's on it. Way too much on one page. It takes me 10 minutes to find what I'm looking for.

220' runline short track at Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus,Ca. That's considered a big track to us, we run on 100' to 150' drive line stuff around here, lol.

i always wanted to hand pick 100 or so guys i met at the birds and have them all move to florida. this way every weekend would be like the birds.well only cheaper and we get more sleep! lol

florida had whipporwill we created the cap tire craze and anything else you now run on a banked track including the narrow car you own. if it was for the oval it was born and perfected at the whip! nuff said about concrete! he he

I don't know if you can call banked tracks or cap tire racing a craze,we're in the minority big time,compared to all the rug rats,I sure wish it WOULD become a craze though.I gotta run on the whip only once, but it was a hellva track.

He SMOKED the field haha... but we had 4 locals run close. Competition was great! No doubt Arnie knows his stuff.

I did beat him at KOBE's though (with the drinks) ;)

RaceRock was awesome, definately worth the trip to come race with the FL guys and the track was great too.
