seems i have too much gas getting into carb. Or not enough gas being burned. The mower starts but hesitates. It has black smoke. After running for just a few seconds it starts spitting gas up to the air filter. Any ideas it was running fine a week ago and then the solinoid went out. Now i replaced the solinoid today and get this.

Brand and horse power? By solenoid, do you mean the fuel shutoff solenoid on the carb, or starter solenoid? Kinda sounds like the float is stuck if it just started happening.

I agree you have have float sticking in open position, probably needle is not seating, they usually have a rubber tip that wears on some models on needle, allowing it not to seat and cutt gas flow off to carb.
