I have no idea why this trend of putting 26-28 inch rims on classic 70s thru Early 90's American Cars is taken off as they look a bit outlandish at the least IMHO. Paint is usually pretty neat though and I do like the 'Dub' look however as well as classic stock. So I had a few extra Jada Wheel donors sitting around that ended up becoming complete 'baseplate' donors. Hope you like.

Cheers,

Jeff

MUCH better. I hope you properly disposed of those other bases in the trash.

Nice job!

That 68 rag is coming up in a future OLD SKOOL release (W2). I can't wait!

BTW, there are 2 96 Super Sports in the new DUB CITY KUSTOMS (W1). Ones solid white, the other is blue, but unfortunately it has mini truck tribal "flames".

Mopar Man/SuperSport. Thanks for the props. Would you believe that my 5 yr boy wanted the 4x4 bases attached to the swopped Impala Fire and Police Sedans...better than trash I guess. He's happy, I'm happy...and in the end I guess Jada is happy LMFAO.

You hit the nail on the head right there. Thats exactly why they do it.

Did you use a base plate from the 67 Impala to correct the 68 convertible? I am guessing they interchanged. Looks much, much better. Now, I need to find a few of these so I can make a model of my 1:1 Grecian Green 68 Impala convertible.

HI Jim,

The 67 Base barely fits. I had to put the front screw in at an angle but she holds fine. The 96 SS are a match but the casting has been modified so that the area where the exhaust used to be has been filled in on the body. Hope this helps. Post your custom when you are done please:)

I wonder if it would be possible to put monster jam wheels on a Donk?

When you say "...put monster jam wheels on a Donk..." , you mean the way the real BIGFOOT monster truck puts HIS wheels on junkers at 4x4 rallys right? :p You know, run them over.

CRUNCH! :drunk:

well, that too, but I had an idea of putting Monster truck wheels on the car since it sits so high.

Now that you mention it... I used to read CARTOONS magazine when I was a kid. I remember an issue where the artists drew "Monster Truck" passenger cars, Lift kit em' up and slap on the mudders! There was a 190E Benz, a Lincoln Town Car, and other 80s "luxury" models. I just might pick up that 1/24 Donk Brougham, strip the paint, and put some swampers on it.

Or not.... :p
