It has four or five jumps including one table top from my understanding. We run electric or nitro if you have it bring it. The track is like a big E shape track with out the center leg in the E. It has very long straightaways and wide turns. should be alot of fun!!! for more info call Joe's Hobbby Barn at 1-812-299-5773 or e-mail Gerry the track cordinator at toadster48@yahoo.com

Hey Jon! I just wanted to chime in on the racing at Joe's. The next race will be June 4th ( Sunday) an Off-Road race, the last one before the points series, which starts June 11th. The points series will go for 6 weeks, mostly on Sundays, the exception being Fathers Day weekend, when we will be racing on Saturday, June 17th.
I had a good time yesterday, even though there were not that many racers ( Holiday Weekend- Memorial Day- and 500 Race) The track is new this year , it has a new design and is Quite a bit faster than last year. If you are planning on coming to race, you will need bowties, step pins or something similar in a soft rubber compound to get hooked up.You will also need to loosen the slipper to keep from spinning out. The track has a lot of sand, and soft dirt, so it makes controlling your vehicle a little challenging. There are several jumps around the track that add to the challenge. In a 5 minute race, they are getting 10 -13 laps depending on the class. Speaking of classes, Joe's will run any class as long as there are 3 entrants. The most popular are (1) Stock truck- Stadium truck with a stock motor 6cell; (2) Gas truck- Stadium truck w/ a nitro engine- any size; (3) Monster trucks- all included; (4) 1/8 scale buggies, (5) Novice class- if you are new to racing, we encourage you to start in the novice class. Also in Novice. you can run any RC you may have-( yest. it was a T-maxx vs. a stadium truck). And like I said, Joe's will run ANY class that has at least 3 entrants, so if you and your buddies run xxx-4's or 2wd buggies, or even 1/18 scale bring it and BRING IT ON!!!!
The track opens at 10:00 am and racing starts at 1:00pm. Joe's is on Springhill about a mile east of SR 41. From I-70 go south on 41 four stoplights to Springhill- turn left and go about a mile, Joe's is on the left, right before the RR tracks. Joe's hobby barn is open 7 days 10a- 7p. The phone # is 812 299 5773. Hope to see YOU there!!!

snake racing

Yeah! Almost forgot..... Joe's runs a "Snake Race" after all the classes have run their mains. If you don't know what that is, it is where you can run any vehicle you like. The race lasts for 5 minutes and there are no turn marshalls. You have to be fast, avoid the wrecks, and keep from wrecking yourself to win. It costs an additional $2 and the winner gets a trophy at the end of the race. Some drivers find they get more laps in the snake because they are more careful not to wreck and slow down a little. Its a lot of fun- come on out to Joe's and try it!

OK sorry I couldn't make it last weekend- I am doing a tranny swap in my explorer. should have that done on fri or Sat. There was no race anyhow because of Graduations, and low attendance. This weekend however is a different story. Sunday, June, 11th is the first race of the points series. Points series races go for six weeks- you need to make it to at least 4 of the races to be in the series. Joe's normally races on Sunday, but we will be racing Fathers Day weekend on Saturday, June 17th- the only exception. Bring your best RC and try it out!

Yeh Mark we had enough racers but John I don't think wanted racing to happen last sunday for what ever reason, We had 8 racers so that was enough to make two classes. Should be better this weekend tho, graduation is over now so we can get back to racing!!

Hello again! Just wanted to bring everyone up to speed at Joe's Raceway and Hobby Barn. This Sunday, July, 16th will be the final week of the first points series, there will be a Trophy presentation. The Snake was full of drama as well- always a BLAST! We need more RACERS! Come on out to Joe's and let's Race!!
