I wonder if we can get Chris to set the track up somethime before June 17. Maybe we can all try to make it the weekend before, I think the touring cars get done early, and then we can change the track over to oval. I know this was tried last year with no luck, but lets make it happen this year. Here's a link to the sign up form.

anybody have an extra car forsale or never use just for this race. last year was pretty cool. was it purple and pinks for compounds?

i think the reason why chris's races are some of the best is he has the track ready the day of the race, opens the doors and everybody has the same amount of time to get dialed. omni :yes on the compounds.

fastforward, I used to think the way you do, about limited time on a race track. But this one is setup twice a year and is very green. The other thing it does is allow guys to get a basic setup the weekend before so you can hang out with your buddies instead of running around all day working on your car. It's always nice to have time to chat with friends at the track and the extra day of practice will help with that.

I agree with mike on this, it would be nice to have a practice day and then chill the next and have fun racing instead of working all day. basicaly what I just did this past weekend. made for a better time.

Hello guys.

As you may know my first summer series race is on the same day a Marcy’s NEOT asphalt oval race. This was bad scheduling on my part, sorry about that.

Support the NEOT and run at Madness.

If you are not into asphalt then feel free to join us up north.

Maximus

I wish it was a night race, my black body always makes it harder for the other racers to see. I wonder why he choose a 12:00 start time?

I realy hope we can get some practice the weekend before, with a buy a wreck instead of rent a wreck I will surely need the practice time. let us know.

Is it 4 or 6 cell ?

omnis85
05-17-2006, 10:14 PM
tour race-4cell stock, mod,19t, sk 4 cell and I am assuming that if enough people showed chris would run 6 cell pan or whatever for his trophy event

KDarc
05-17-2006, 10:22 PM
4 cell is good. Do you use the same traction compound as carpet for black top ?

Puf, I just got off the phone with Chris Marcy, you need to give him a call. He wants to allow arcor/roar leagal 19 turns. He doesn't even carry any of the ultrabirds. 860-741-6501

Just got done talking to Chris and he's willing to run june 10th asphalt oval after the touring cars get done, around 5:00 PM. please post here if your interested in running that night. We need to get some sort of head count to make it worth while.

This is getting ugly. The only race of the series that had a good 19 turn turnout was the maximus race where it had an open 19 turn rule. the other races had a poor 19 turn due to the ultrabird only rule, imho. Nick how many ultrabirds do you have for sale?

PUF19
05-18-2006, 01:34 PM
How many do you need? Besides this is NOT open for discussion, it is a rule!

Mikey you guys really need to look at the ultrabirds better. they are a pretty good motor and I'll tell yah this I have 7 of them and they pretty close to the same.

running these motors has more advantages then disadvantges. imop

Are you serious ? I hear up north here you are a good wheel man but the nut buster of the south.

According to Chris, 19t is an open class. The last time it was motor limited 3 people raced. If you want to run for the points, Chris can put people who want to run ultra birds in a sepearte heat. Not everyone has the ultrabird that is comming to this race and it is not a motor regularly stocked at Madness.

i look at it this way guys be thankful that someone has stepped up an given you the oppertunity to participate in a series that is designed to have the best competition in the northeast. So you can do one of 2 things follow the rules or miss out on a great race.

MIKE VALENTINE
05-19-2006, 08:26 AM
Dave if you were here you might think differently, It sucks running with 3 or 4 people in 19 turn. we get 45 plus guys for stock class, and hardly any running two classes. The general answer you get when asking why is the limited motor ruling. i will run anything the tour dictates, but hate the ruling and will try to have it changed until it does. The stock motor rules were changed during the series, why can't the 19 turn motor rule change as well. The 19 turn class hasn't had good support since day one, except for one race that had more open 19 turn rules. It's the class that needs reworking, and isn't getting any.
