The World Dirt Racing Association has struck a deal with Arizona Sport Shirts to present the 6th annual Summernationals. The WDRA Summernationals has become one of the premier dirt oval events each year, and the 2006 version is expected to be the biggest one yet!
This year's Summernationals will return to Fingerlakes Raceway, where it was previously held in 2003 & 2004. Though, this year's event will change venues, Matt Murphy (Stock Truck), Terry Schmitt (EDM Big Block Stock & Mod), Pete D’Agnolo (Nitro EDM), Bryan Boyd, (Nitro Sprint) and Brian Strausser (Electric Open Sprint) will all be looking to defend their '05 Summernationals titles. The EDM Small Block division will be up for grabs, as 2005 winner Dan Danoski has moved on the the Big Block ranks.
The program will begin on Friday June 23rd, with open practice starting at 4:00 pm. On Saturday, the grounds will open at 8:00 am. The first 2 rounds of qualifying will begin at noon. On Sunday June 25th, the Summerantionals will wrap up with the the grounds opening again at 8:00 am, with the final qualifying round starting at 11:00 am and bump-up mains to follow.
The first 100 paid entrants will receive a custom printed 2006 Summernationals T-shirt, by Arizona Sport Shirts.
